Sketch and Stash + Digital Tuesday Challenges

I made this card using one of the Digital Stamp Oasis's lovely images. This one is called Sammy Squirrel eats strawberries >-) Isn't he cute ;-)
I coloured him with copics and paper tole'd him. The papers are SU and Funky Fairy's Papercrafts cherish collection paper download, I also used a little brown/pink coredinations.


The theme this week on the Digital Tuesday Challenge is Sweet Birthdays

I followed Becky's fabulous sketch on the Sketch and Stash Challenge we have to use new or old neglected stash,, well the strawberry charm, flower spacer and prima flowers are all new :-) They also have the optional extra of ribbons, I added a red organza ribbon :-)

Last card for today !!! :-) Promise !!

I followed Kimmi's fabulous sketch on the Stamping for the Weekend Challenge :-) Donna has also done a gorgeous sketch too which I will use to make a card tomorrow :-)




I used a new Rachelle Anne Miller stamp,, isnt she lovely !! this is the only one I have but I will definitely be getting more :-) Beautiful stamps :-)
I used Funky Fairy's Papercrafts paper from the Cherish collection and also a Bearly Mine Designs paper from my CD
I also used some whitewash coredinations :-)

The flower is made from prima ones and I used a silver centre and a heart charm,, nice eh !! :-)

I also used a couple of heart shaped and I made the hat pin decoration.

Moving Along With the Times + DT call

A friend came to visit me earlier today and asked me to make her a card for her son who will be celebrating his 18th Birthday next week :-) I can hardly believe he's all grown up ,,,he was one of my cub scouts not so long ago ,,, !!




I used a WOJ image,,, perfect for an 18th I thought !! I coloured him with copics and added a little ice stickles n he was ready to be stuck on all the layers :-)
I used some brown'khaki coredinationns and put that through the my big shot using the birthday embossing folder and sanded ;-)
I think the papers are HOTP,,, The stars and numbers were cut out on my cricut and sprayed with glimmer mist for sparkle :-)

I followed Claire's fab sketch on Moving Along With The Times Challenge The option was to use ice blue and white but am sorry to say I didn t do that :-(. When I just went to get the link I saw that there is a DT call so if anyone is interested you have to be quick !! The call ends later this evening !!

I also made this card to fit in with The Pink Elephant Challenge who has stars and strips as their challenge,,, well I do have 2 strips going across :-) ( I actually mis read it as stars and stripes until I went to get the link so if I don't qualify just scrub me off :-)) and the One Stop Craft Challenge who who has Stars and Stripes as their theme

We would like you to cut out a piece of paper and stick it onto your image instead of colouring it ! This is a fabulous technique to know especially if you make a mess of colouring and need to rescue a disaster ( yeah ok it happens to me too :-))

I do love this set,, gorgeous and so easy to use,,, easy shapes to cut !! :-) I coloured the images with copics and paper toled them :-)

I used a Tim Holtz mask to cover the red card and sponged gold brilliance ink over it, I love the effect that has,,, looks even more lovely in real life :-) The patterned papers are basic Grey from the 'Wisteria' paper pad. Gorgeous papers those ,, amongst my fave's :-) The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Funky Fairy's Lovely Recipe Challenge :-)

We have a fabulous recipe challenge for you this week :-)

I used one of my new Pink Gems stamps,,,, again :-) Isn't she lovely !! :-)
I coloured her with copics, paper toled her ( new term for 3'D ing) :-) and placed her in a frame from the Doodlemental papers, perfect !! All the patterned papers are Doodlementals papers,,, very funky :-) The backing paper is it's so Distressing, I also used this as 'sky' in the frame :-)

For the embellies I used 2 buttons and a ribbon and finished with 2 punched cats :-)

The Design team on the Funky Fairy's Challenge have made some fabulous cards to show you and hoefully give you some inspiration so veist the Funky Fairy's Challenge blog to see them. Don't forget to visit their blogs and leave them a nice comment too ;-)

Wooo Hoo !! :-) I am going to be a Guest Designer on the Charisma Cardz Challenge :-)

I am sooo excited :-) Carly and the DT have asked ME to be their GD at the end of this month !! Fabby eh !! Am soo excited :-) WOOO HOOO !!!! AND I am soo organised, for a change, that I have made the cards already !!! You will have to wait until the 30th July and 6th August to see them :-)
Please put these dates in your diary and make sure you join the Challenge ,,,:-) The themes are fab !!! :-) BUT am sworn to secrecy and my lips are sealed :-)

Don't forget you still have a couple of days left to join the Funky fairy's Chgallenge and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge,, our entries are quite low ,,, are you all to busy sunbathing ?????? Isn't the new Tilda Charming !! :-)

I made this card following Dawny P's fabulous sketch on the Papertake Weekly Challenge




I used a new Tilda image and added a new charm,, it arrived in the post this morning from the Hobby House, I also bought a martha stewart heart border punch :-) Will have a play with that later :-)



The Just Magnolia Challenge
are asking us to use charms :-) Just as well I bought some then eh !! :-)



The Copic Creations Challenge theme this week is Brunette hair ;-) I watched this video tutorial via a link on their website and found it really helpful. I need more practice but am quite pleased with how it looks !! :-)

The papers are Basic Grey cupcake and the sentiment is Simon Says Clear Stamps SENDING SUNSHINE Exclusive Set,,,, again !! I do love this set !! :-) The sky is chalked with pebbles inc pastel blue, you can't really see it on the photo but it is a lovely sky really :-) I added crystal stickles to the flowers and ice stickles to the ice lolly ,,, think thats all ,,, :-)

Another Sneak Peek from Doodle Palace :-)

This gorgeous snorkle bear image will be released on Tuesday so you only have to wait a couple of days :-)
I made this card fopllowing Judy's fab sketch on The Sugarbowl Challenge. I flipped it to fit in with my image :-) They also ask for sparkle,, well I added quite a bit of stickles :-)

I almost forgot !! ( Well i did forget actually but remembered in time !! ) I made this for the Digital Tuesday Challenge too whose theme this week is 'Summer'

I am entering this in the Charisma Cardz Challenge too whose theme is 'buttons; :-)

I use prisma pencils and copics to colour, the papers were a mixture of Funkly Fairy Papercrafts and coredinations. I also used some patterned paper from my scrap box.
The 'hello' sentiment is from a Simon Says Clear Stamps SENDING SUNSHINE Exclusive Set ( as usual !! ) :-)
The sun was cut out on my cricut and the button is a basic grey one :-)

Doodle Palace Sneak Peek :-)

This fab tropical island scene and parrot will be released by the Doodle Palace on Tuesday :-) so you have to wait a few days !! :-)

I coloured the image with copics and paper toled ( new name for 3D'ing :-)) The papers are all from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts, the It's so Distressing pack. I also used a little brown/turquoise coredinations and plain brown cardstock for layering.
The sentiment was from a Simon Says Clear Stamps SENDING SUNSHINE Exclusive Set,, This is my all time fave sentiment set !

I followed the fab sketch on The Next Level Challenge

I embossed the coredinations and heat embossed the sentiment so this card qualified for the Dare U2Digi Stamp Challenge
The Cupcake Craft Challenge and the Everybody's Art Challenge have 'Summer' themes. This is my first entry for the EAC, I only found this challenge a couple of days ago. I am very sorry thet the Cupcake Craft Challenge is closing down :-( Very sad,,, this was one of my faves !

The Pink Elephant is asking is to use our fave colour combo,, well I don't have an ABSOLUTE fave cos I like purple/black and lots of others too, but brown/turquoise is one of my faves :-)

And it just so happens that the Stamp With Fun Challenge has this colour combo this week :-)

I think that's 6 challenges !!! I'don't remember entering so many with 1 card before :-)

Penny Black and Colour Create Challenges

Grassy green,apple green, sunflower yellow, lemon and white, the optional extra was to decorate the inside of the card and the envelope too :-)







The grassy looking paper is a download from Summertime Designs and the yellow spotty paper is from a Bearly Mine CD. I love using downloads especially as I have just bought a fabby new HP CISS system printer ! Brilliant !! :-)

Saturday Sketch meets House Mouse Monday :-)

I made this card following the fabulous sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge

I also used a stamp that I bought from Jay Jay, it arrived yesterday and had to use it :-) Cute eh ! I don't know how she could bear to part with this one !!



The theme on the House Mouse Monday Challenge is Paper Tole, I use this technique all the time I just didn't know it had a name :-) It does make the 3D effect much nicer as the card is rounded, makes the mice look plump :-)

Simon Says Colour Combo for you ! ! :-)

First of all a big thankyou to everyone who entered our challenge for such a good cause last week. I am sure the children will be thrilled to recieve all your cards. Don't forget the Daring Cardmakers Challene have the same 'Make a Child Smile/Post Pals theme so you still have time to make cards for their challenge. Also we hope that you will continue to make cards in the future :-) Don't forget !! :-)


With the fab weather throughout europe thoughts turn to lovely BBQ's and summer fruit salad with dollops of vanilla ice cream ,,, Yummy !! I know there are thunder storms but they'll pass and the sun will shine :-) Don't forget to use sun screens and shadebathe, not sunbathe !!! :-)

This is the inspirational picture we have used for our inspiration. The colours are watermelon pink, orange, lemon and kiwi :-) As long as you use at least 2 of these colours thats fine but you could try to get all 4 colours on your creation :-)



For my card I used the yummy Simon Says Clear Stamps SAVOR SWEET CUPCAKES Exclusive





I love to use glitter and ivory flower soft (shredded coconut) for the topping :-)



The image was coloured with copics and 3D'd onto oval nesties, I used black/lemon black magic coedination for the scalloped nestie. i also used lemon pigment ink and sparkle emboss around the edge of the inner nestie.
The lemon background paper is a download from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts 'It's so Distressing'. I also used some basic grey design paper, I think thats from the lime rickey pad and some orange whitewash cordinations that I embossed with the swirls folder. I also added some prisma flowers :-0

The sentiment is from the same cupcake set :-)

Funky Fairy's Challenge :-) Life's a Beach !! :-)

We really enjoyed seeing the wonderful cards you made last week using Anesha's fab sketch :-) The new GD will be announced on the Challenge Blog. It was an extremely hard decision as all the entries were fabulous !!

Is this a coincidence or what !! The theme this week on the Funky Fairy's Challenge is 'Beach' !! Well I watch Sky news and can see that the whole of europe is basking in a heatwave ! What better time to think about all things 'beach' !! :-) Sun, Sea, Sand !!! :-)
To enter this challenge you must use at least one paper download or image from Funky Fairy's papercrafts If you have never tried downloads before there are loads of freebies on the Blog Of Inspiration I used the free paperpack 2 on my card, I thought it looked like sand !! :-)

The DT have made some really wonderful cards for you to see so please go to see them on the challenge blog,,, don't forget to leave us all a comment as well, we really do appreciate them :-)

I used the free paper and also some It's so Distressing paper,, this is the kit I use the most actually,, it is so useful for backgrounds, I couldn't recommmend this one enough. Not because I am on the DT either,, it really is a good kit :-)

I distressed everything as you can see :-) I also used some whitewash coredinations, lovely !! :-)

The 'sun' was in some lovely candy I won on Nikki's Blog on the Stamptacular blog hop :-)

The ticket is from a Bearly mine CD, I also used a little stickles to add sparkle.

Magnolia meets Colour Create :-) + Anne's blog candy !! :-)

I made this card with Happy Mail in mind. Both the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and the Daring Cardmakers Challenges have this theme this week so we're hoping that lots of children will benefit from this combined effort. As if that wasn't enough of an incentive Ann has a special blog candy which she is also linking to making a card for poorly child ! You only have until tomorrow to enter though so you don't have much time left !!! :-)

I also tried to use the correct colours on the Colour Create Challenge They are asking us to use pistachio green, aqua and powder pink,,,, gorgegus colours eh !! :-)

The patterned paper is from a Bearly Mine CD, I also used blue It's so Distressing download paper from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts and some whitewash coredinations,

The flowers were cut out on my cricut and the scalloped edge was made using a SU punch.The charm and the rosebud were in Jo's blog candy which I won on the Sketch Saturday Birthday challenge :-)

Doodle Palace another sneak peek !! :-)

This lovely image will be released on 30th June along with a gorgeous cat set that you can see on a card I made yesterday :-)

I coloured the image with copics and 3D'd the bear. The papers are all from my scrap box except for the bit of whitewash coredinations, I must admit I cut into a new piece of that !! I sanded it and then inked the swirl cuttlebug folder with jade pearlescent ink then put the paper through to get a depression :-) I hope that still qualifies me for the Digital Tuesday Challenge
whose theme is 'Scraps'

I followed the lovely sketch on the Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge

I am also entering this into the Daring Cardmakers Friday Challenge Who are also asking for cards to be made for children on the Post Pals or similar childrens charity. ( The Simon Says Stamp Challenge also has the same theme) so lets hope these children all receive at least on card if not several !! :-) So far I have made 3 this week but I do send regularly.Lets hope many of you continue to do so too :-)

Sneak Peek at some new Doodle Palace digi downloads :-)

The Polka Doodle challenge have posted a fabby sketch which you can use if you like but you can use any layout you like but it has to be a rectangular card. Also you have to use paper ribbon not fabric :-) Luckily I had just bought a pack from doodlebug :-)

Where do I come from ?? :-)

While blog hopping a couple of days ago I came across a lovely challenge asking us to make something which reflects where we came from :-) The Challenge is called the Three Clovers Thursday Challenge Well I have had this stamp of The Shambles in York for ages and also a 12x12 sheet of paper with a map of Yorkshire,, well ! I had to enter this one :-)

I followed the lovely sketch on the Truly Scrumptious Challenge

I made the card 'old' looking as the paper looked aged and the City Of York is an ancient city. The image is from the famous street called The Shambles and was the film location for Diagonal Alley in the Harry Potter movies.

I love York and whenever I am back home in the UK I always go for a visit, it is about an hours drive away from my parents village.

There is a new airline just starting called Yorkshire airlines and they have made a fabulous advert on You tube :-) Please go and see it you'll be glad you took the time :-) If anyone is interested in coming to Gozo for a crafty retreat you can get cheap tickets with them !! :-)

Pink Wedding :-)

I made this card following the fab sketch on The Pink Elephant Challenge



I also made this card for A Spoonful Of Sugar Challenge whose theme is Weddings :-)




The Wedding Bells image is from Penny Black, I coloured it with copics and 3D'd the bells and flowers.

The DP is doodlebug and I sponged the edges with orchid brilliance ink. I used this ink on the swirl cuttlebug folder and put it through to make a depression. I really like the effect this made :-) The edges were also sponged.
I used silver stardream card and plain white card too :-)

The nestie circle was swiped with the same ink pad and sprinkled with sparkle embossing powder too .

The sentiment is from the Simon Says Clear Stamps SENDING SUNSHINE Exclusive Set I use this set such alot I keep it on my desk all the time ! I usually have to hunt for it still cos it tends to hide under piles of paper and ink pads and pens etc lol :-)
