Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge : Make A Wish!

newchallenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week the challenge is

MAKE A WISH

We usually  'Make A Wish' before blowing out the birthday candles, but you could create something with a wish in mind. I wish I was lying on a beach listening to the waves and reading a good book. What is YOUR wish? We will look forward to seeing what you make!

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

I made a card to send Birthday Wishes!

The Tim Holtz Birthday Blueprints Cling Stamp Set is one of my all time favourites and perfect for both feminine and masculine cards. I stamped the cupcake with Jet Black Stazon and coloured with Peacock FeathersSqueezed Lemonade and Antique Linen Distress Inks, I then masked the image and splattered with Dylusions Fresh Lime and Vibrant Turquoise inks.  The Peacock Feathers Ink coordinates beautifully with Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue Card Stock so I used that for layering and then found a scrap of lime plaid to do down the edge. I finished with Washi Tape, Tim Holtz Paper String and a few dabs of Star Dust Stickles

My nephew and his wife had a baby boy a couple of days ago and I made a similar card using the Baby Blueprint Set for them. I used  Antique Linen Distress Ink to add shading to the onsie, but it is quite subtle and didn't photograph well.

I finished the inside too, I really love how this turned out, super cute!! ;-)

So now it's YOUR turn, Happy Crafting

Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit

Woo Hoo!! my June Card Kit is IN THE HOUSE!! :-) There is no nicer sound than the ringing my doorbell when I am expecting a kit!

This is my first card made using the Simon Says Stamp Look For The Miracles' Card Kit, I used a printed card front designed by the lovely Suzy Plantamura and although the sheet said that it was recommended for colouring with copics I thought I would try out my new Distress Crayons and thought they worked really well too.

I don't like to waste the precious papers before I adhered the background paper to the base card I die cut a tag from the middle, this is covered by the panel so no-one will ever know ;-)

I made this card as a 'believe in yourself' and reach for your dreams. My kids are all grown up now and starting out on their working life, times are tough when you start out but by working and studying hard, you can make your dreams come true. You have to believe in yourself and don't give up on your dreams!

Here is the kit in all its glory! Click on the pic for more details. I have to say I LOVE the Kaisercraft Gel Pens in there, they are fabulous!

Baby Girl's Christening

I was asked to make a Christening Card for a Baby Girl and this is what I made ;-)

I love the 'Ornate Pram' Die from the Wild Rose Studio and thought that combined with the Simon Says Stamp Churches Die they would make a very pretty Christening card, what do you think?

I used a Falling Hearts Stencil and Cotton Candy Ink to create the background and then added some Stitched Slopes and Hills, I embossed with a Swiss dots folder to add a little bit of texture, I did the same for the clouds too.The ribbon is from May Arts which is now discontinued.

I finished the inside and made a special box but didn't take a pic :-/

Thanks for looking, I hope you all have a fabulous day!
