Cute Card Thursday Challenge

The theme this week on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge is music and dance. The ballerina stamp is by Whipper Snapper, the ballet shoes are magnolia and the music score stamp is Penny Black.The papers and pearl brad are papermania.
I found a keyboard on the internet and printed it too :-)

Whiff of Joy , Funky Fairy and Spoonfull of Sugar Challenges

The Whiff of Joy Challenge is to use their stamps of course and then a recipe of 3 papers, 2 flowers and one brad or button. It didn't say we couldn't use eyelets and ribbon though so I think it's OK!! The Funky Fairy Challenge is to use their papers, the dotty paper and the yellow distressed papers are from their downloads, faux stitching, and the Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge is to doodle, so I did both :-)

Mosaic

I don't know if anyone is interested but I thought I'd show you this box I made at mosaic night skool :-) It's for Amy's new bathroom which we're in the process of renewing, I've left the sides plain white cos Amy is very arty and wants to put her own doodles on it after her GCSE exams.

Cupcake Craft Challenge

The theme this week on the cupcake craft challenge is to make a scene, well I think the chicken just about to land is going to cause quite a stir ha ha , what do you think :-)
The stamps are all Penny Black. The background was chalked, blue sky green grass ,,,,. The frame border was made by cutting wonky bits of card and cuttlebuggin em. The fence is a border die from x cut impress.

3 challenge's in 1 card :-)

I followed the Papertake weekly sketch by Dawny, fabulous sketch eh !!The Daring Cardmaker Challenge is to make an oriental card but we're not allowed to use red/black. I chose the colours to fit in with the Colour Create Challenge too which is Peach/Aqua
The main fan image is by Judikins, as is the bamboo on the L side of the card. The Bamboo on the R side, the aqua papers and the brad in the flower centre are from papernania.The sparkly corners were fun to do, they're double sided sticky tape shapes by papermania which you just sprinkle with glitter or fun flock. The asian text is by Hero Arts

Stamp with Stampovie

This is the 1st time I am using this new stamp, it wasn't untl I started colouring that I realised it's a christmas stamp :-) My sister's birthday is Christmas eve so her's is ready :-). I've also had the home accents cartridge for ages and didn't notice this fab corner !! I need new glasses :-) The flowers were cut out on my cricut too.

Whiff of Joy Project of the Month Challenge

I sort of got carried away with this ! The theme for this month is Valentine gifts. Well who better to make a surprise gift for than my lovely husband :-)He definately won't be expecting this ha ha ha !! Sarah's probably choking on her coffee if she reads this :-)
It started as a little notebook for him to write lovely poetry for me !! ( my tongue is firmly in my cheek here ):-) It will probably get used for shopping lists ,,,,,. Then I thought about a gift tag, but for what ?? he doesn't have any hobbies like us girlies, so champagne it is ;-) Then I thought choccy's go with champagne so i made a little heart shaped gift bag to put some quality street in, I did think about getting roses chocolates but quality street re made for sharing :-) The card I made for a previous challenge but it completes the set :-)

ABC and Secret Crafter Challenges

I made this card following a sketch by Beth on the Penny Black Saturday Challenge from the 6 th December !!
The ABC Challenge is Zzzzz, sleeping :-) The Secret Crafter challenge is recycling. As it's a resolution to make a few x mas cards now and again I thought I could take a christmas card I received from my brother to bits !! The white ribbon and the sparkly santa hat were on that card. ( a charity card from Waitrose )
I didn't intend it to be quite so red/white/blue !! It reminds me of the Queen's silver jubilee, I think I might be showing my age a bit here !!!! hmmm
Anyway , this is my brother's card ready for next christmas :-)

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge

This week the theme for the Tilda and friends ATC challenge is 'warm wishes' I think this is OK, Tilda enjoying the warm sunshine :-)
p.s after seeing this on my blog she looks a bit like she's on a magic carpet !! ha ha The background is chalked with blue sky and green grass but it doesn't show up very well in the photo, just use your imagination :-)

Friday Sketchers and Penny Black Saturday challenge

I don't know why but I always think these 2 challenge's go well together !! The Friday sketch challenge is to use this sketch , obviously ! The PB Saturday challenge theme is 'Romance'. The PB stamp is getting another inking !! It's only a few days since I last used it but as I have very few 'romantic' stamps I don't have much choice really !! As red is the colour of love I went with that, not very original is it but ,,,,, well I like it :-)I have delicately coloured the flower in light pink near to the centre but it doesn't show up on the photo, it's not just white in real life !!
The love text I made using vellum and gold emboss, and the music is the same using black card, both of these stamps are PB too.

Sketch Saturday and Cute Card Thursday Challenge's

It's my nephew's 10th b'day on Friday so I made this for him. He's quite musical, well, he's learning to play the guitar but i don't have a guitar playing dog so this'll have to do !!
I followed the sketch on the Sketch saturday challenge and the theme on CCT is metallica, so I cuttlebugged some metal, I think it works really well with the silver trombone :-)
The stamp is PB and the sentiment is a download from Funky fairy's.

3 challenge card

I made this card following the Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge sketch, the Funky Fairy's challenge this week is dots and ribbons,the dotty paper is a download from their website. The Cupcake Challenge is to use Plum, pale plum, pink and whisper white, well, I don't have any stamping up things but according to Marvy le Plume I've followed the requirements :-)
The main image and text are both by penny black. The flower was stamped with dots using plum ink. ooh I forgot to mention her frock, that was stamped onto the dotty card and then diamond glazed and sprinkled with black glitter :-)

Goth Birthday Book

I downloaded the papers from Kaboodle Doodle It's the boys mini card kit, and I just had to make this birthday book for Amy, she's a bit of a goth !! The stamps are from Stampotique and the embellies 're Tim holtz grungeboard shapes. I won't bore you by showing you all the pages, ,,,, well Ok then I haven't finished them yet :-) but I will,,,,

3 challenge's in 1 card :-)

I made this card for the Madelynne's Twinkling Tuesday Challenge which is to make a card using Madelynn's fab sketch,I hope she doesn't mind but I put the sentiment in the kitty's paws instead of where it should be !!
I used some fabulous download papers from Kaboodle Doodles so this card fitis in with their 'love' theme too.
I made a big mistake making this card !! It was all finished but just as I was about to take a piccy I noticed a tiny bit of glitter glue just underneath the top left side hearts, soooo, I got a drop of water on a brush to gently clean it off, not thinking it would leave a bloomin great watermark !! Hence the flowers so it now qualifies for the Papertake Challenge too which is hearts and flowers :-)

I used one of my all time favourite stamps by Penny Black which is called 'cute cat'. The heart he/she's holding is from the downloads too , I went around the edge with a black embossing pen and embossed with clear powder. Then I 'filled' it up with diamond glaze and sprinkled fine glitter onto it. The hearts were cut out of core'dinations card using my cricut, cuttlebugged, sanded and plonked into position.

Secret Crafter Saturday challenge

The theme for this week is 'Zoo' we have to use an image of an animal we would find in a zoo. I used the very 1st stamp my daughter bought, which is a Polar bear stamp by Anita. My sort of New Year's resolution was to start making Christmas cards in Feb so I'm not still making them on xmas eve, this challenge has got me started !!
This is the 1 st time I used this snowflake folder too and I think it's lovely, will definately be using this alot. The sentiment is PB which I stamped onto shrink plastic and coloured with chalk, then shrunk. The snowflakes are punched out.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

This is the 1st time I've attempted a circular card. I only have the small circle nesties so i made a small card :-) The main image is 'picked for you' and the small hedgie is from the 'well wishers' stamp. I chose hedgie images cos they can curl themselves up intio a ball and 'roll' !! Well not really, but my DD did ask me if I had chosen hedgehogs for that reason :-)
The sentiment is from the WOJ sentiment set.
