Simon Says Stamp Always There Release

Hi all :-) I have just returned home after a fabulous river cruise along the Seine, from Paris to Normandy and back.  We visited several towns along the way and I was so lucky to get to visit Claude Monet's house and gardens, which were his inspiration for his water lilies paintings. Absolutely stunning and well worth a visit if you're in the vicinity ;-) 

Anyhoos, because I was on vacation I was unable to join in with the latest Simon Says Stamp Always There Release Blog Hop, but I did make a few cards using some of the new release.  

For this first card I used a gorgeous Dewpierce Butterfly Die Set and a Blooming Beauties Embossing Folder and Cutting Die Set 

I used a Storm Grey Ink to add some text onto the background paper and then used the Embossing Folder to add the texture before splattering with various colors of ink.  I colored the Butterflies with Copic Markers and adhered with 3D foam.  I added some Cottontail Embellishment Mix Sequins and Iridescent String for a little sparkle and finished with a EZ Strips Happy Birthday sentiment

For this next one I used a Gorgeous Hydrangea Embossing Folder and Cutting Die Set

I stamped some text onto Watercolor Paper and distressed the edges. I colored the Hydrangea with Distress Inks and White Paint and added Star Dust Stickles for sparkle.  I finished with EZ Strips Reverse Thanks sentiments, Cottontail Embellishment Mix Sequins and Natural String. 

For this last one I used a Simon Says Stamp Clear Acetate Card Base  along with an Elongated Hexagon Die Set and a Sunblush Flowers Die Set. I love how this one has turned out! 

I also used the  Blooming Beauties Embossing Folder  to add a little texture to the background, keeping the pressure in the machine very light so it only has a slight texture

Tim Holtz Feathered Friends

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is to make it: 

MASCULINE

We're showcasing some gorgeous Tim Holtz Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

I used a gorgeous used Tim Holtz Feathered Friends Die Set as the main focus. My dad loves to feed, and watch the birds in his garden, so this is for him :-)

I colored the bird with Peacock Feathers, Barn Door and Black Soot Distress Inks. For the background I used a  

Teal 8x8 Palette Paper Pack, I tore the paper and blended some black ink to add a little more interest. I used a Wildflowers Die Set, Baseboard Frame, Design Tape Trims and a Metallic Sticker.
