House Mouse Monday Challenge DT Call :-)

OOhh when I saw that the House Mouse Monday Challenge were having a DT call I knew I had to try my luck :-) I adore these stamps :-)



I made this card using a sketch that I always use when left to my own devices :-) I like to keep the layout simple and then jazz it up a bit at the end :-)



I used Basic Grey paper from the Lemonade pad and some plain dusky pink card for layering. The stamps are Berry Full and Thanks Berry Much test ( stating the obvious !! :-)) I coloured the image with copics and 3D'd the mouse. The button and glass were a birthday gift a few years ago from a very good friend, Alison, and have been just waiting for this stamp to come along so I could use them :-) The flower is prima and the brad was also a gift from Heidi ( as was the text stamp ,,you all know who Heidi is I'm sure :-))and is by Kaiser Kraft,, thanks Heidi x x



As it is a DT call ,,,, I thought I'd decorate the inside too ,,, lol :-) Thanks berry much girls for considering me to be on your FAB DT :-)



This cute stamp is called Berry Tired ,,, which the DT will be after getting through this post lol :-)

I also made this box using a template that I bought from Papertrey inc. I thought this 'Stamp It' image would be good to use on a box of HM stamped images ,,, handy eh ! :-) I also think this is a perfect image to make cards for crafty friends,, soo cute ! :-)



The image was again colouerd with copics. The paper is by My Minds Eye and the plain paper used for layering is from Funky Fairys Simply Brushed set :-)

Time for a Cuppa :-) ,,,, purrfect !!

I made this card following Dawn B's lovely sketch on the Inspirational Card Sketch Challenge :-) It also qualifies for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge whose theme is 'So Charming'



The image is one I bought from Pink Gem Designs and is called Cat with Cuppa. I coloured it with prisma pencils and blended with odourless spirit. I added copics glitter pens to a few areas for sparkly and some flower soft dotted around in the grass ;-) The background was coloured with chalk for a soft look :-)



The flower is prima, the leaves are punched with a Martha Stewart punch and finished off with a dragonfly charm.
The papers are from a brand new paper download from Funky Fairys Papercrafts this one is called Add a Splash of Colour a bargain at £5.99 ,,, it is fantastic !! :-)

Cat woman of Gozo !! :-)

The theme this week on the Anyone for Anya Challenge is 'You're Anya' Well I only have 3 Anya's which I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts ( am hoping to win Megan this week :-)) but I knew which one was me :-) I am known as tha cat woman of Gozo,,, all the poor strays in the neighbourhood know where I live and drop by for dinner :-) especially when there's a fish BBQ on offer ha ha :-)
For this card I followed Tina's lovely sketch on the Everybody-Art-Challenge I am also entering this into the My Time To Craft Challenge whose theme is 'Purrfect Pets ' !! Purrfect !! :-)



I coloured the image wih copics and 3D'd her and the cute kitten, I sprayed the background with my air gun ,,, fab fun :-) The white kitten looks like my cat Bob who is completely deaf,, I resued him from the SPCA, the black cat is a button with the post at the back clipped off ,,, he looks like Jack,,, ( I have 7 cats ! ,,, and a dog ,,,, ) I chose blue as the main colour,,, cos that is my fave colour but to be honest I would't be seen dead wearing those clothes :-),,,, well ,,, I am so glad you can't see what I'm wearing right now ,,,,!! not a pretty sight lol :-)

I used a cute cat charm and ribbon from my stash the Prima flower snd brad by Kaiser Craft were in a DT pack from Heidi at Simon Says Stamp, incidentally they will soon be stocking Greetings Farm stamps too :-)

It seems many of you are getting way ahead with your christmas cards !! I saw lots of fabulous ones last week ,, :-)
This week we have a scary challenge for you !! Yes it's almost Halloween and I dare say there will be lots of challenges around for you to link your cards/creations to :-)



As always Heidi, the owner of Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a fabby shopping spree to one lucky winner ;-)


Unfortunately here in Malta/Gozo Halloween hasn't really taken off so there is no need for me to make anything but I have some freinds here from Texas so my cards are being posted to their grandchildren :-) Hope this one doesn't scare em to death !! Not exactly cute is it !!! :-)



For this challenge heidi very kindly sent the DT a gift :-) In my package was this fabulous Tim Holtz Scary cat and a spiced marmalade distress ink pad :-) Lovely :-) But I have NO halloween themed stash at all ,,, so this one had me scratching my head !! I started by making my own papers with various distress inks. the dark sky with moon was made by spraying paper with slate glimmer mist then dabbed with a cloth. I stamped a flock of birds on the sky and a scary tree on the bottom left side piece ,, both of these are Tim Holtz stamps :-)
I followed Ria's fabulous sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge I thought it was a perfect halloween sketch :-)



The background for the cat was also made using glimmer mist and the cat was stamped with black soot distress ink,, it does look very shimmerry in real life :-)
The skull and star are grungeboard that were grunged with crackle paint and then sponged with black soot to grunge them even more ,,,, oh I did have fun making this :-) One tip tho !! NEVER shake the glimmer mist with the top off !!! Me and my room were showered with slate ink :-) actually it makes my craft area look more arty so I didn't clean it up ha ha ha :-)
I used some grey black magic coredinations for layering and then I finally got my sewing machine out ,,, aong with a flag or 2 !! and very carefully sewed wonky lines :-) The ribbon is like a mesh which I thought was quite spooky looking :-)

The DT have made some SPOOKTACULAR cards and creations for you to see so please go and see them on the challenge blog then go and leve them all a comment :-) You never know you may find some hidden candy !! :-)

Before I leave I will show you this card I made using the same sketch :-) The papers are all from the Funky Fairys A Lil bit Spooky kit It is a fabulous kit :-) The image is 'Witchy Poo' which I got as a free download from Doodle Palace :-) Isn't he cute :-)



The image was coloured with prisma pencils and copics and 3 D'd ;-) His feet and all the papers were distressed with black soot distress ink. The little bag of candy has bits of liquorice allsorts in it :-) Don't want her going hungry :-)
The Funky Fairys have a fab challenge starting today too so why not pop over there to see what it is !! :-)

Funky Fairys Alter It Challenge

The theme on tha Funky Fairys Challenge this week is a lovely fun one :-) We are asking you to find something and 'Alter It' :-) I do enjoy making things other than cards :-)



I need storage for various stamps and am making one of these boxes whenever I get an empty one ;-) This started life as an ariel tablet box :-)



The image is a new one that I just bought from Pink Gems Designs this one is called Winter Hoot cute eh :-) the papers are from the new Funky Fairys Papercrafts Shabby Christmas Kit The mat is in the kit too and I printed the text on the comp :-)



The image was coloured with copics and 3D's onto the front. The ribbon and snowflake eyelets were from my stash :-)

1 card 4 Challenges :-)

I made this card following Martine's lovely sketch on the Basic Grey Challenge but have just realised I missed off 2 elements !! There is supposed to be 2 rectangles, one on the top and one on the bottom :-( I will go and try to fix it and re upload a piccy later :-/ ,,,,, I did remember to used BG papers tho :-)

I also made this to fit the Stamp Something challenge whose theme is Apples/Teachers/School :-) I have had this Sarah Kay stamp for a long time now and this is the first time I inked it !!

The One Stop Craft Challenge is 'Autumn', well ,, apples are an autumn fruit !! and the theme on the Cupcake Craft Challenge is 'Thanks a Bunch',,, does thanks a basket count ??? :-)



I coloured the image with copics and 3D'd her :-) I added diamond glaze to the apples and glitter copics here and there. The background was made by masking the image then spraying a light green with my new copic air gun ,,,, so much fun !! :-) I can see I will need loads of cans of air !! wonder if I can rig my scuba diving air tank up to it !!! :-)



The flowers are prima ,,, I did want to make my own like I did on my Tilda card, but I am a bit short of time today ,,,, first day back at school for Amy ,,,, she's been on school holiday since May !!!! I know most of you love having your kids home ,, and so do I ,, but 4 months is a long time and I am so glad to have my mornings to myself again :-)))))
I also used an apple charm :-)

I made this card following Tanja's fabulous sketch on the Friday Sketchers Challenge :-) I also made it to qualify for the Just Magnolia Challenge who are asking for handmade flowers. I saw Michelle's fabulous tutorial a few days ago and my first attempt at making these flowers went in the bin ! But as they say, you learn from your mistakes and I am really happy with how this one turned out :-) I am also entering this in the Magnolia Down Under Challenge who are asking for 'Buttons' :-)




I distressed the edges on all the card layers and the flowers with tattered rose and dusty concorde distress inks. I have just bought this Tilda with flowers ,, isn't she pretty ;-) I coloured her with copics and 3D'd her and the basket of flowers to give lots of dimension. I will need to make a box for this !! :-)
The ribbon and buttons are from my stash, the flower was cut out on my cricut and made using Michelle's tutorial as a guide :-) Thanks Michelle :-)I used stickles glitter glue and copic glitter pens for added sparkle, the flower was sprayed with water and sprinkled with perfect pearls to give a lovely glimmer too :-)




This card will be posted to a child on the Post Pals website as I have sent a card to Paige already :-) See the link on my sidebar.

I also followed the colour theme on the Penny Black Saturday Challenge who are asking for Chocolate / Lemon / Pink :-)



I made this card for Paige. As many of you know Paige is a 13 year old young girl who was involved in a horrific boating accident and has had to have part of her arm amputated and has many months of surgeries and rehabilitation ahead of her, poor girl ;-( Erin of Scrap, Stamp and Be Merry is asking people to make a card for her and she has a terrific blog candy for those who make and send a card to her. so check out Erin's Blog for details



The image is Penny Black Rainin Daisies. I coloured the bear with prisma pencils and blended with odourless spirit. Everything else was coloured with copics. The papers are basic Grey ,,, from the Eva pad I think but don't quote me ! :-) I lost the cover ! The flowers are Prima, doodlebug brads and a lovely heart charm to finish. I chose not to add a sentiment to the front ,,, hope thats OK with the sketch DT !! :-)

I made this card following Dawny P's lovely sketch on the Anyone for Anya Challenge I will making another card for the Stamp Something Challenge which is favourite sketch. i love this one,, I like em easy with not too much measuring involved :-) I am also entering this into the Papertake Weekly Challenge to save Dawny 2 trips to Gozo :-) The theme there is Black / White + 1 colour,, tho I know someone on the DT used MORE than 1 !! ooohh !!! :-)
AND last but not least I am entering this into the Charisma Cardz Challenge, they are asking for Decoupage,,, well I did cut out the Anya and 3D'd her arms and muff. I am also entering it into the ABC Challenge which is E for Embossing ;-)



The image is another one in the lovely envelope from my teamie Jo, Boots Blog Spot:-) I will be buying this for me tho ,,, I love these Anya's ,,,:-)



I coloured her with copics and I love her hair ! She may be a bit grey but very funky eh :-) I kept her coat 'winter white' just added a little grey, C1 for shading!! and just used a pale lilac copic pen,, lovely colour V12 :-) I used some applique glue and glitter for the 'fur trims' I used some white coredinations that I cuttlebugged with this lovely christmas saying embossing folder. The papers are DCWV glitter pack. the snowflakes are a Papermania punch.

Funky Fairys Transport Challenge :-)

I sort of got all caught up in the doodling and can't stop now ! It was lovely to see all your doodling last week :-)

The image I used is from a RAK from Jo, thanks hun x x The papers are from 2 different sets of papers from Funky Fairys Papercrafts I love the way you can coordinate them ! The background paper is from the Simply Brushed set and the go faster stripes are from the Shabby Christmas Time kit which goes to show you can use some of them the whole year ! :-)



The image was coloured with copics and 3 D's onto the oval nestie shape, the text was cut out on my cricut. The arrow is a grungeboard die cut and the wheel is from a Tim Holtz sprocket set which I attached with a brad. The fancy edge was made with a fiskars diamond border punch and the ribbons are from my messy draw ;-) The eyelets just finished it off :-)

I bought this lovely Tilda stamp and Magnolia tree last January,, daft time to buy Christmas stamps I know but at the time I was intending to make a christmas card a week !! Well !! This is her first inking ! :-)
I sprayed the background with my new copics air gun,,, oohh it is so much fun,, I still need to practise a bit but I do love the effect it gives ;-) I then stamped the tree and added green glitter. The Tilda was coloured with copics and 3D'd in front of the tree. I used a copics glitter pen to add more sparkle,,they are gorgeous pens, then I added the red crystal gem 'baubles'
The star was punched out and smothered in red glitter, the snowflake is a spellbinders die cut ,, smothered in glitter and the tree charm was hung on gold wire that I twirled around a skewer,,, oh yes ,, the paper is from a DCWV Glitter Christmas pack.
