Simon Says: Summer Fun

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Try To Contain Yourself Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is

Summer Fun

What is your favorite summer activity? Building sandcastles on the beach, swimming in the ocean waves, enjoying a barbecue with friends, cycling along the forest paths, we will be looking forward to seeing what you make for this challenge!

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

We are going on a vacation to India soon and I made an itinerary folder  using a Tim Holtz Globe Die and a Mixed Media 2 Stamp Set

A few weeks ago we had a Red/White/Blue Challenge and I loved THIS folder that Sandra created for her trip so I thought I would CASE it ;-)

I stared by inking some watercolor paper with Spiced Marmalade and Mowed Lawn Distress inks and then stamped designs from the Mixed Media 2 Stamp Set . I then added a strip of white, I inked the edges with a little Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and then embossed with a Trellis Texture Fades Folder

I inked a circle of watercolor paper with Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon inks for the sea and splattered with water before fixing behind the globe. I cut the elephant and made the sentiment banner on a Silhouette Cameo

I had made the edge of the folder 1cm wide so that I could make 2 x 5mm depth pockets. I have popped in my itinerary, my visa and my passport, all I need now is money d I am good to go! :-)

So now it's YOUR turn to have some Summer Fun and join in the challenge!
