This photo was taken in York on my recent visit home to the UK. From left to right it is my friend Sarah, her daughter Lucy, my daughter Amy and Emma who is Amy's friend and our next door neighbour here in Gozo :-) Emma joined us for a week in Yorkshire and she said it was the best holiday EVER !! AND she's been on a Caribbean cruise and to Disneyland!!! but no ,,, she prefers good ol' Yorkshire :-)

The photo was taken on a very famous street called 'The Shambles' It is very 'Goth' looking and was the inspiration for Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter books :-)
The papers I used are from Funky Fairys Papercrafts, I used the Fancy Flourish set and Its so Distressing papers :-) The alphabet circles are from the Doodlementals set :-) The fancy border was made using a Fiskars border punch, the ribbon was from my stash. I coloured the image with copics and cut them out so I could decoupage them onto the background,, they look more well fed when I do that ,,, more rounded :-)

It is not showing up very well on the photo but the poorly mouse does have a red blush to his cheeks ,,, caused by the fever !! :-) The papers are Basic Grey from the Granola pad ( I think but don't quote me cos the cover fell off ! ) the flowers are white prima that I coloured with copics and home made glimmer mist,, using antique linen distress ink and pale pink perfect pearls :-) They do look lovely and shimmery IRL. The sentiment is from a Simon Says Clear Stamps SENDING SUNSHINE Exclusive Set The ribbon is from my stash and the brads are by Kaiser

SophistiCat and Charisma Cardz Challenges:-)

I made this card following Jan J's fabulouis sketch on the SophistiCats Challenge
I missed it last week so I underlined it on my little book in red so I wouldn't forget again :-) The Charisma Cardz Challenge is asking for distressing ,,,, well I have rarely used ths much distressing ink EVER !! :-) Both Challenges have fabulous prizes for one lucky entrant ,, !! :-)

I love the simplicity of the sketch and as there was such alot of paper showing I decided to have a play with all my new Tim Holtz stuff ;-) I stamped distress inks in loads of colours onto a craft mat and sprayed it with water then swirled the paper in it ,, dried with heat tool and repeated ,,, Tim has a fab tutorial on his blog that shows you how to do it :-) You can watch it here I then sprinkled gold perfect pearls all over it,, sprayed with water and dried again,,, by this time the paper needed a good iron ,,,, then I used masks and distress inks and made a sort of design ,,,which you can just about see,, it is more noticable IRL ,, honest,, I then stamped the clock and sprayed with water for it to smudge ,,, then put it all together ,,, as you can see I've had a good ol' play :-) I added some Tim Holtz bits n bobs,, the edge was made using the wrong bit of a fence border,, the bit you and ususlly put in the bin !! :-) The ticket was printed from Donna's Bearly Mine CD,, which I inked too and stamped the Happy Birthday with a
Simon Says Clear Stamps SIMPLY THE BEST SENTIMENTS Lot Exclusive Set All the Tim Holtz goodies I used are from Simon Says Stamp :-)

I know my card doesn't have the 3 circular elements exactly ,,, and they re nt all in a neat row ,,, but am hoping it's near enough to qualify :-) x x

Thanks for looking, please leave me a comment before you hop off so I know you've been visiting :-)
Also I have a blog candy at the top of my blog if you would like to take a peek ;-)

I coloured the image with copics and 3D'd her onto this lovely My Minds Eye paper. The flowers are white Prima ones which I sprayed with peach and meadow green glimmer mists,, gorgeous and shimmery :-)

I used orange mesh and brown ric rac ribbon, an umbrella charm and thats it I think :-) I decided to leave it without a sentiment so I can use it for anything :-)

The image was a RAK from Sue Scoopystuff ,,thanks hun x I thought it was a good image to make into a card with the film title 'Chocolat'..
I coloured the image with copics, the papers are Basic Grey but the cover fell off so I have no idea from which pad ,,, :-) the flowers are prima and the brad is by Kaiser craft.

Papertake Weekly,,, The Dark Side Challenge :-)

I was THRILLED to be asked by Dawny P to be a Guest Designer on the Papertake Weekly Challenge :-) The previous GD's are all fabulous and are a very hard act to follow and the DT are all fantastic too so I am just hoping I can keep up with them and not show myself up !!! Am quaking in my flip flops ( still hot here in Gozo ) :-)

Ok here goes !! The Theme this week is 'THE DARK SIDE',,, spooky,, Halloweenish :-)

Well I know it is difficult to make a Tilda look spooky !! But I tried !! :-)

I love this Tilda with pumpkin image :-) I coloured her with copics and 3D'd her onto some paper that I had coloured with various colours of distress inks, black soot, spiced marmalade and dusty concorde,, I tried to make it look spooky !! :-) Can you see the fab spider ?? Well ,, I have very few ,,, none actually,, Halloweeny embellies and came across this fab idea of using buttons and wire to make a spider on Susie Sugar's blog ,, you must pop over to see it,,, so cute :-) So I hope you don't mind me lifting your idea Susie x x Thanks x

I tried to make it look as if it was hanging on a thread from the flower, the stem of the bud was threaded through the flowers and wrapped around a skewer.and the spider attached to that ,,, The flower was grunged with slate glimmer mist,, lovely and shimmery in real life :-)

The papers are all from a Funky Fairys Papercrafts A Lil Bit Spooky set :-) I used black/purple coredinations too. All the edges of the papers were distressed with inks too. The oval mat is chipboard which I painted with a thick layer of acrylic paint and heated to make it bubble ,,, I love this efffect but you have to look closely to see it as most of it is covered with the text !!

I also made this little treat bag,,, the sweeties have long since disappeared ,,,, :-) yum :-)

Thanks for looking :-) The DT have made some very spooky creations for you to see so pop over to the Papertake Weekly Challenge to see them and please leave them a comment :-)
Thanks to the DT for having me along, I am looking forward to the next few weeks and being part of the team :-)

Sketch and Stash Challenge

For this card I followed Becky's lovely layout on the Sketch and Stash Challenge

I just bought this gorgeous stamp from Pink Gem Designs isn't she lovely :-) she called Kaya with parcel :)

I coloured the image with copics and 3D'd the gift. The fur trims were made with applique glue and glitter. The papers are from a new Papermania pad called 'Deck the Halls' I also used white coredinations which have been cuttlebugged. On one I used the snowflake folder which I inked with a brilliance ink pad.

Janet at Pink Gem has a competition where you have a chance to win 6 !!! Pink Gem stamps ,,, AND she is looking for a GD too so go to her blog for details :-) Good Luck ! :-)

Thanks for looking,,, please leave a comment before you hop off so I know you've been to visit :-)
