Simon Says Back to School :-) + hidden candy :-)

As you know I have been on holiday for ther last 3 weeks so I haven't been around to visit your blogs but i will pop by in the next few days :-)

This week on the Simon Says Chellenge we have a Back to School Challenge :-) The DT have made some lovely creations for you to see so pop on over to the challenge blog to see them and don't forget to leave a comment too :-) We really do appreciate them :-) Also some may have hidden candy ,,,, so don't miss it !! :-)




While I was in London I called in the Paperchase shop and bought the pencil box which I thought would be perfect for this challenge :-)
I used some definitions paper which I tore and inked with Vintage Photo and Black soot Distress ink. The text around the top is from a fab Melissa Frances transfer set.

The notebook was made using some mountboard from my friendly frame shop ( he gives his excess bits to me for free !! :-))I covered this using the same definition paper and distressed too. I stamped various Tim Holtz Stampers anonymnous images onto the paper,, birds etc,,, . The 'Imagination' text was stamped onto a separate piece of card and inked with distress inks and sprinkled with distress EP too :-) I then used Vintage Photo crackle paint 'dolloped' around the edges ;-) When dry I sponged with black soot ink too.

The flower is Prima which I inked too and I used a Tim Holtz foliage flower in the center, the butterfly is a grungeboard die cut that I embossed with the cuttlebug script folder and inked ,,, I used a Tim Holtz ornate frame with a Melissa Frances vintage rub on text 'Dream' :-)

The mesh is something i have had for ages and is by Magenta :-)

With the exception of the mesh and paper,, everything I have used on this project is from the Simon Says Stamp Site :-)

I'm Back :-)

Hi Everyone :-)

I arrived back in Gozo last night and am absolutely worn out !! I need a holiday to recover from that one !! My suitcase is still packed tho I did get my new papers out and some 8x8 envelopes that I found while rummaging around the Craft Zone in Pontefract ! What a shop,,, massive and as messy as my craft room on a bad day ! Made me feel right at home :-)

The Simon Says Stamp site on Papercraft Planet have a colour challenge at the moment. The deadline has been extended to the 31st August as there are only 4 entrants !! Funky Fairys Joanne's Sketch Challenge :-)

So did you all manage to join in last week ??? Hope so ! I will be coming to see your entries soon,, I am now staying with my parents in Yorkshire ,,, lots of travelling on this holiday !! :-)
I hope Mr Bloggy is behaving and posting my cards for me :-)

This week on the Funky Fairy's Challenge Joanne has made this fabulous sketch for us to follow :-)



I used my lovely Simon Says Clear Stamps OWLS AND BRANCHES Exclusive Set,, aren't they cute ! :-) The branches in the background were also made using this set :-)



I used Funky Fairys Papercrafts
Distressed Vines and 'A Lil Bit Of Happy kit.The red paper is printed using the Cherish collection too ! Gorgeous papers !! :-)



The images were colourd with copics and 3D'd :-) the flowers are prima, I used a few dew drops, doodlebug sugared brads and the ribbon was from my messy drawer :-)

The DT have made some wonderful cards using so go and see them on the challenge blog and don't forget to leave them a comment :-)

To enter the challenge you have to use a Funky Fairys Papercrafts product. There are loads of free downloads on the Blog Of Inspiration so give them a try,,, they re fab !! :-)

The papers are DCWV Christmas glitter stack. I inked all the edges with Rangers Tattered Rose ink pad. The text is a Hero Arts stamp that I stamped onto a cuttlebug charm die cut tag shape. that I won in Wendy's blog candy,,:-)

Funky Fairy's Christmas In August Challenge ;-)

I am still on holiday and at the moment am camping in Devon so I hope Mr Bloggy does his job and posts this for me :-)

I am hoping that we're having glorious weather in the UK !! :-)

The theme this week on the Funky Fairys Challenge is Christmas In August !



I used my fab Penny Black stamp 'Let it Snow' I do love this one :-)

I used some free Funky Fairys paper that I downloaded from the Blog of Inspiration aren't they lovely ! So there you are,,, no excuses not to enter this week and also you can cross at least one card of your christmas list ! :-) better to get started early ! :-)

The snowflake was made using a spellbinders die cut and the snowflake brad is papermania. the stamp was free with a Do Crafts magazine :-) Nice eh ! :-)

Simon Says Anything But a Card :-)

I am still in the UK on holiday and when Mr Blogger posts this I will be on a camp site somewhere in Devon, not exactly roughing it tho we will be in a cozy challet :-) Hope the weather's nice !! :-)

The theme this week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge is Anything But a Card :-) I made a box like this a few weeks ago to store my Simon Says Stamps in you can see it here if you like :-) I will be making several more of these, they are perfect for keeping your stamps in ! This box started life as an Ariel washing tablet box ! :-) The DT have made some other fantastic creations so you should hop over to the challenge blog to see them. Please visit their blogs too and leave them a comment :-)








I used Summer Edwin, I paper pieced his top and trousers using basic grey papers and a Tilda from the Summer Collection,,, this one is called Loves me Tilda,, I coloured them with copics and popped them on the box :-) The text is also from the Magnolia summer collection. The papers I used are Stamping Up and whitewash coredinations. The letters are cut out on my cricut and ther fancy edge is a Martha Stewart border punch.

Heidi is offering a $25 shopping spree to the Simon Stays Stamp Store and she is also paying the postage !! How fab is that !! :-)

Charisma Cardz Challenge 2nd GD card + blog candy :-)

I am in London at the moment so am hoping Mr Bloggy does his job and posts this for me !! :-)
Another fabulous sketch this week on the Charisma Cardz Challenge :-)




As soon as I saw this sketch I knew which stamp I HAD to use :-) ,,,isn't he cute !! :-) Would you like him ??? well you can't have mine but you can have a brand new one !! All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post and enter the Charisma Cardz Challenge and follow my blog :-) The Charisma DT is also eligible to enter ,,,, they made a card too so why not !! :-) Heidi at Simon says Stamps has very kindly given me this gorgeous Confetti Rain House Mouse stamp as a blog candy :-)




I cut out the triangle shapes on my cricut, stamped the image and colored him with copics :-) I cut out and added extra confetti too. I also used a Penny Black mice paws stamp,,, :-)




The papers are Basic Grey Wisteria and the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusives set :-) I stamped this onto a cuttlebug charm die cut. I won this die and several other things in Wendy's blog candy :-) Thanks soo much Wendy :-) She has the most amazing blog,, you really should visit ! She designs digi stamps too !! fabulous !

The flowers are prima and I aldo added an umbrella charm :-)

I used a fabulous PB stam called 'Say Cheesecake' I just went with black/white photo idea !



I used 'In With the Old' papers from Funky Fairys Papercrafts Lovely eh !! :-)I also used some black/grey coredinations,, a few SU flat backed pearls some ribbon and papermania brads. The swirl was cut out on my cricut.

Yesterday in London :-) + blog candy winner !!

Yesterday I met Joey and Pascale and the children in London :-) We had a lovely time chatting and talking about all of you :-) lol !! No some of your names did crop up tho but it was all very nice and complimentary :-)
We went to a fab art shop near Leicester Square who have a sale on at the moment,,, tho I suspect it is a permanent sale cos they had a sale when I was here couple of months ago too !! :-) It is mainly for artists tho they do have pro markers on sale, a pack of 6 for £4.50 ,,,, baragain !!

Thankyou so much Pascale and Joey for making the effort to come and meet up with me ,,, it was lovely to meet you and hope we meet again on my next visit :-)

Guess where I am going :-)

This fabulous new stamp set by Tim Holtz is perfect for my Scrapbook of London ,,,, which I have yet to make,,,, :-) All of Tim Holtz new releases are available in the Simon Says Stamp Store I will be buying this set just as soon as I get back from my holidays,,,:-)

I will be away for 3 weeks so I apologise for not leaving any comments but I will be too busy having a fabulous time in London, Devon and Yorkshire :-) I will be meeting Joey and Pascale next week with their children and Joanne and Emma in Yorkshire ,,, can't wait :-)

I have scheduled a few posts for while I'm away and there will be blog candy too so don't abandon my blog completely :-)

Charisma Cardz Challenge 1st GD card :-)

I was soo excited to be asked to be the Guest Designer on the Charisma Cardz Challenge for 2 weeks :-) The design team are all so talented and have made some fabulous cards for you to see following Joanne's fabby sketch :-)




I used my new summer Magnolia stamps, Tilda is called 'Loves Me'the flowers are 'beach flowers and the sentiment is Loves Me text :-)they will be available soon in the Simon says Stamp Store and are available to pre order :-) The butterflies are also magnolia from the sending butterflies collection :-)



I stamped the flowers on the oval nestie shape. Stamped Tilda 3 times, coloured her with copics, 3D'd her and sat her on the oval :-) I also stamped some extra petals using a magenta stamp :-)




The papers are Doodlebugi also used some whitewash coredinations for the scalloped nestie and the trim across the bottom. I also used a SU scallop punch. The flower and swirl were cut out on my cricut and the lovely charm is from the Hobby House.

Please go and see the fabulous cards that the DT have made and join in the challenge :-) I will try to come and visit you all but i will be on holiday so limited access to the internet. if I don't visit now I will pop by on my return :-)

My first Gorjuss girl :-) This fab stamp was in the fabby blog candy that I was very lucky to win in Kimmi's Blog Candy :-)




I coloured her with copics,,,, you have to excuse the card I used ,,, I used the 'wrong' one so the colours haven't blended as well as they could have done ,, still OK ish tho so I didn,t start all over again !! I made her petticoat with glittered vellum and 3D'd her dress ,, pretty :-)

The theme on the Cupcake Craft Challenge is a colour challenge and we have to use Pink/Green/Brown :-),,, ticked those boxes too.

I also masked the gorjuss girl and stamped the flowers ( from the Magnolia Summer Collection) behind her so it also qualifies for the Stampin for the Weekend Challenge

Funky Fairys are Thinking of You :-)

For my card I used my 'thinking of you ' Hero Arts stamp. I use this stamp alot,, it is lovely and so easy to use !! No need to colour,,, all you need is nice papers !!! :-)
I used the same papers as I used last week,, different colours tho ! :-) It's so Distressing and Distressing Vines these are both available to download in the Funky Fairys Papercrafts store,, I couldn't recommend these papers too much ,,, so handy ! :-)

I used some tea dye distress inks , some lace and black pearls and that all,, ;-)
