Papertake Weekly 'Thank You' Challenge :-)

Oohh it will soon be Christmas !! only 3 more sleeps !! Are you all ready for the red guy ?? :-)

This week on the Papertake Weekly Challenge we have the theme 'Thank You'. Hopefully we will all be needing LOADS of these cards for all the yummy pressies we will be getting,,, she says hopefully !! :-) At the top of my wish list is a laser prnter ,,, my digi images often smudge so I generally avoid them ,,, hopefully that is about to change ,, if not I will be shopping SOON !! :-)



I used my lovely HM Berry Full stamp and a HM text stamp too ,, cute eh ! :-) I coloured the image with copics ,, and added rangers Rock Candy for sparkle ,, love this stuff !



The frame was made using a Martha Stewart around the page punch set . I have no idea who the paper is by, will check and add later ! :-) I also used a panel of coredinations that was embossed with a Thank You folder. I also used a couple of buttons ,, a bunch of grapes and a wine glass ,,, you can hardly see them so have a closer look lol :-) I used loads of stickles around the frame and a few pearl gems,,,thats about it I think ! :-)



The ribbon slider is a spellbinders die cut and the ribbon was from my stash :-)

I have just been leaving comments ,,, and what should be a nice blog hop turns into a nightmare with all the word verifications !! It takes at least twice as long to leave a comment ,, and quite frankly I would rather not bother and go to see someone elses creations ,,, this messing about with silly letters is a complete waste of valuable time ,, Use the owner approval option instead !!! I am really hating visiting blogs with it on ,,,

As I am writing this I am listening to my new Susan Boyle CD :-) I think she has a wonderful voice :-) Good Luck to her ! :-)

Anyway onto my card ! I was determined to make the deadline for the Anyone For Anya Challenge ,,, I have recently bought quite a few of these lovely stamps and am wanting to ink em :-) The theme is Bling it On ,,, well I have used pearls, copic glitter pens and loads of glitter so I hope it's blingy enough ! :-)
I followed Jo's fab sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge :-) I love this sketch ,, thanks Jo :-)




The image was coloured with copics and decoupages onto coloured paper. The papers are Basic Grey 2 Scoops and coredinations ;-) The edges were all inked with black soot. I also inked the lace to dirty it up a bit too. The circle was made using a nestie and the centre was embossed with the swirl folder and glittered :-)



I used my Martha Stewart around the page punch ,,, I love these ;-) I also used a SU scallop border punch, prima flowers and the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp Simply the Best Sentiment set ;-)

I am also entering this into the Quixotic Challenge who are asking us to use lace :-) It is not something I use very often so this challenge made me get it out of my messy drawer :-) So thanks girls :-)
I have just found a new challenge on Lorraine's blog too so I am entering this into the Crafty Ann's Challenge blog too :-) The theme is no red or green ,,, well I have teal/turquoise ,,, not green tho is it ! :-/ ??

Wild Rose Studio Best Friends :-)

I made this card following the lovely easy sketch on the Truly Scrumptious Challenge they have also added the option of vellum,, I almost forgot but managed to tuck a bit in there behind the flower ;-)



The stamp I used is a Best friends one from the Wild Rose Studio, the papers are from the Spring CD,, lovely eh ! :-) I stamped the image onto a Nellie Snellen frame, coloured with copics and threaded an organza ribbon around it ,, I think these frames are just so pretty ! The sentiment is from a Simon Says Simply the Best set ,,, which it is !! :-) The flower is Prima and the vellum flower was made with a sizzix die and edged with pink brilliance ink :-)



I am also entering this into the Charisma Cardz Challenge whose theme is Anything - but Christmas :-)

Creative Inspiration GD creation :-)

The theme this week on the Creative Inspiration Challenge is Make an Item to Decorate Your Home :-)

I love making these Luminaries ,, this is the second one I made and they are so easy to make and so effective ,,, my guests were really impressed when I used them on Sunday !! :-)



The intention was that I would make matching name cards for the table too ,,,, but I never got around to making those :-( ,,, maybe i will make them for Christmas Day ! :-)

I used My Minds Eye paper and a Fiskars border punch, a Spellbinders snowflake die and lots of stickles :-)

As you can see there's a couple of SU punches ,, I just bought these for the Funky Fairys Punchem's because they firt perfectly ,,, there are also a couple of Martha Stewart punches on there from Simon Says Stamp. A House Mouse stamp and a Wild Rose Studio one on there too ,, my next projects ,,, one is shh for a while :-) Think I should clear away all those Greeting Farm ones before I start anything else ,, they are clean ,,, just drying properly !!! :-) Oohh there are a few pairs of glasses too with various strengths of lenses !!! :-( another story which I won't go into ,,,, :-)

Now onto my lovely fantastic gift from Heidi at Simon Says Stamp :-) I have actually had this a few days but had to make sure that all the challenge DT had received theirs before I showed you ,,, didn't want to spoil anyone's surprise :-)

When Heidi and Terra went on their crafty cruise with Tim Holtz and Wendy Vecchi Heidi asked Tim for a gift to give to her DT !!! How FANTASTIC IS THAT !!!! ;-) Soooo here it is !!!! :-)))))

I used a lovely new HM stamp ,, this one is called BEADED TREE I got this one from Simon Says Stamp The papers are My Mind's Eye and the frame was made using a Nellie Multiframe. These will soon be available in Simon Says Stamp too so I'll keep you posted when they re in stock :-)



I coloured the image with copics and dsecoupaged the mouse and the tree,, snip snip snip ,,,, took me ages ! Then I glistened all the beads with Tim Holtz DISTRESS STICKLES ROCK CANDY Clear Glitter Glue
I love this stuff ,, it doesn't have glitter in it so it doesn't distort the colours ,,, also you can dry it with a heat tool so you don't have to wait for ages while it dries !!! Perfect !! :-)

The're was so much pattern going on with the papers and frame that I just added 2 punched fern leaves to keep in with the sketch and left it like that ,,, :-)

I coloured her with copics and sat her on a pice of felt snowflake ribbon from papermania ,,, which was smothered in stickles :-) The frame was made using a Nellie multiframe. the papers are from a Basic Grey two scoops paper pad.

Papertake Weekly Sketch Challenge ;-)

Oohh another fabulous sketch for us to follow this week on the Papertake Weekly Challenge :-)I do love Dawny P's sketches ,,, so easy to follow , I don't like em too complicated ! :-)

For my card I used my new Greeting Farm snowpeople that I bought at the craft fair in Holland ,,, I had to give them an inking before it was too late ;-),, not much colouring but what there was was done with copics ;-)



The papers are My Minds Eye and glitter card. I also got to use my new Martha Stewart icicle border punch on this too :-) The background was plain white card that I embossed with a cuttlebug folder and then sprayed with pearl glimmer mist,, lovely and shimmery :-)

It seems I opened a can of worms yesterday ;-) Thank you for all your lovely comments agreeing with me :-) If people are worried about people posting unwanted comments on their blog then just turn on the owner approval option and screen comments yourself !!!
Some people don't even realise that they have it turned on so please go and check it is turned off in your settings :-)
Please copy this image and post it on your blogs,,, lets start a MASSIVE campaign !! I am almost tempted to stop leaving any comments on blogs who have it turned on. I really don't think we should have to jump through hoops for the priveledge of leaving anyone a comment. So you are warned !!! :-)

An Appeal ! PLEASE turn off word verification !!!

I appeal to everyone to please turn off word verification !! If you like use the owner approval option ,, then you can weed out undesirables ! I have never used word verification and I have NEVER had any problems ,.. When you have to leave so many comments on cards it takes twice as long and in my opinion completely unnecessary ! With everyone being so busy at the moment this little gesture will make all the difference to many of us

Wild Rose Studio DT card :-)

I made this card following Kristin's lovely sketch on the Just Christmas and Birthday Challenge :-)



I used the lovely Girl with Flowers stamp from the Wild Rose Studio, the papers are printed from the Spring Papers CD The designs on this and the Christmas CD are gorgeous ! :-)

I coloured the image with copics and decoupaged her onto another piece of white card that I had coloured with a little faded jeans distress ink. I then added copics spica glitter pens and crystal stickles in various places for lovely sparkle. the pearl neccklace was made with liquid pearls ,, but they seem to have squished as they dried ! :-(



The sentiment is from SU and the ribbons were from the craft fair in Holland :-) The flowers are from Prima and were in a lovely Bigger Bag from Simon Says Stamp :-)

All That Scraps Snowflake Challenge :-)

I love these cute CC stamps ,,, isn't this one just lovely !! :-) I made this card to enter the All That Scraps Challenge whose theme is Snowflakes :-)

I coloured the image with copics and popped her behind a Nellie Snellen frame.I added glitter to her boots and liquid pearls for earrings and buttons. The snow was made with Polar white flower soft ,,, so realistic eh ! :-)
The papers are from Digiscraps 3 ,, these are from the Winter Magic set The snowflakes were made with a Papermania punch and the lovely text is from a Melissa Frances rub on :-)



I stamped tiny snowflakes behind the image is white and then used sparkle embossing powder, then I stamped a few more using beige brilliance ink pad :-)

Creative Inspiration Non Traditional Colours of Christmas GD card :-)

The theme this week on the Creative Inspiration Challenge is Non Traditional Colours of Christmas ;-)

Well ,, I had just received this very cute Happy Hoppers Bunny Rubber Stamp CARROT TREE so I just HAD to use it :-) I saw Curt's DT card for the HM Monday Challenge and he had the same idea ,,, I didn't copy you ,, ha ha :-) great minds think alike eh !! :-)



The image was coloured with copics and the carrots glistened with Tim Holtz DISTRESS STICKLES ROCK CANDY Clear Glitter Glue. The edges were distressed with spiced marmalade ink. The papers are My Mind's Eye, it was a double sided paper and I used both sides, I embossed the blue side with a star embossing folder and added crystal stickles :-) I also used Brown/Orange coredinations and some blue glitter card. The star was cut out on my cricut.



I know this might be cheeky ,,, and I don't know if I am 'allowed' to do this ,, being a GD ,,, but I am going to link this card to the House Mouse Monday challenge who have the same theme ,,, I just HAVE to !! :-) Hope the DT don't mind :-/ x x x
