Totally Papercrafts Animal Antics Challenge

Friday already and time for another fabulous Totally Papercrafts Challenge :-)

This week it was Mel's turn to set the theme and she chose :

" A N I M A L M A G I C "

The DT were all offered a digi image to use, I chose this gorgeous 'Cat Knit' image :-)
I followed Martine's fab sketch on the Basic Grey Challenge
:-) I coloured the image with copics and inked th edges with Stormy Sky Distress Ink, the papers are Basic Grey and the flowers are Prima sprayed with pearl Glimmer Mist and stickled with stardust stickles :-) (as always !) The corners were made with a Spellbinders die cut and the red pearls are from Kaiser Craft. I also used a Martha Stewart border punch and stamped some cat paw prints with chalk ink to finish the 'look' :-) All the products used on this card except for the image are available in the Simon Says Stamp Store :-)

Another Wednesday ,,,, this week has flown by :-) I am sorry that I didn't have time to create a special project for last weeks WOYWW ,,,but there were some truly fantastic creations out there !! :-)
If you have never joined in this ,,, you should :-) Julia started this a year ago and it is a fab opportunity to see into someone elses mess :-) Brilliant !! :-)

well they came back and fixed my desk :-) So much space to spread my mess now :-) Now ,, as you can see ,, I am messy ,,,
I cannot do anything in a tidy fashion lol ,,,, it HAS to be a mess otherwise I just can't make anything ,,, that is my excuse and I'm stickin to it :-)

Simon Says ,,,,,,Recipe Challenge

Thank you to everyone who joined in with our Simon Says Stamp Challenge Male/Father's Day Challenge last week. We had lots and lots of fabulous entries :-)

This week's challenge is a recipe and here are the ingredients we want you to use :

1 Image

2 Patterned Papers ( + a contrast card for layering if you like )

3 Types of Embellishments ( you can use as many of each type as you like )



The DT and our GD Marcea have all used stamps from Stampavie, if you have any we would love to see them used on your creations too :-)

Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $25 spree to her store and she will pay the shipping charges too :-)




For my card I used my lovely Helz Cuppleditch Ruffles Party stamp. Simon Says Stamp have his whole range in stock ,, just type in Helz Cuppleditch into the search thingy :-)



I coloured the image with copics and coloured the edges with Stormy Sky distress ink. The papers are Basic Grey from the Cupcake paper pad, the button is also Basic Grey. The ribbon and twine were in my drawer :-)I used a Martha Stewart Double Loop border punch and the sentimet is from Simon Says Stamp Exclusives sentiment set

One Mouse Band :-)

Am back again with another cute House Mouse card using one of my new stamps from Simon Says Stamp :-) This is called One Mouse Band ,,, and as an ex trumet/bugle blower myself this is a special one for me :-) ( For those of you in Yorkshire I used to be cornet player for Grimethorpe Colliery Junior Brass Band,, bit of useless info for ya :-))




I coloured the image with my trusty copics and added stardust stickles everywhere ( what did we do before stardust stickles ?? ) The papers are a mix of SU, the Lovely Lilac card and the background DP, the little panel of flowers is from the Wild Rose Studio Floral Paper pack. The flowers are Prima Hydrangeas which have been glimmer misted, stickled and curled. The velvet brad is doodlebug and the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp Exclusives set. I finished it off with a little lilac ribbon from my drawer and a few Robins Nest Dew Drops, I love these ,, I boought a little tower of them in all different colours ,, gorgeous they are, click here to see them, definitely one of my better buys :-)

Papertake Weekly Dawny's Sketch Challenge :-)

For my card I used my lovely new Fairytale Tilda and Castle Background
stamps that I bought from Simon Says Stamp. I coloured the images with copics and popped Tilda in front. The papers are from a Wild Rose Studio Japan paper pad. The ribbon was in my drawer and the rose is a Prima one, sprayed with glimmer mist and stickled with stardust. I added some Robins Nest Dew Drops and a Melissa Frances rub on sentiment to finish :-)

I LOVE this cute House Mouse Truffles stamp ,, it is a big one tho so not much space for much else on your card ,,, unless you maka a 8x8 one !! :-)
I inked the stamp with Rich Cocoa ink to keep everything brown :-) I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with Tea Dye distress ink I also used some clear glaze to the icing on the truffles. The papers are GORGEOUS Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby ones, perfect with this image eh !! it even has de Chocolat written on it :-) The fancy edge across the bottom is a Tim Holtz On the edge Sizzix die . The ribbon was in my drawer and the rose is Prima which I sprayed brown with my fab copic air brush system :-) I then just finished it with some flat backed brown pearls :-)



edited : I bought a box of yummy looking choccies especially for this piccy ,, and they were absolutely foul ughguh they all went in the bin :-(

Sketch and Stash Challenge , Becky's Sketch :-)

Good Morning and time for a new challenge over on the Sketch and Stash Challenge :-) becky has made a lovely sketch for you to follow, I am sure you will all like this one :-) We also like to know what your new or neglected stash is too :-)

and this is the fabby sketch :-)




I used my fairly new , but neglected Hero Arts Silhouette Flower cling stamp. I must admit I do love the cling ones ,, easy to use and store :-) I inked the stamp with pink chalk ink, then stamped over it with a dry script stamp, this just removed some of the ink. I then stamped it again on a separate piece of card and stuck them together to make the stalks a little longer as this is a square stamp, and covered the join with the ribbon.




The papers I think are Basic Grey, they were a RAK from a buddy so not quite sure, the flowers are Prima and I have had them in my drawer FOREVER !! I do love them tho and was just waiting for the right card to use them on :-) For the circle bit I inked a script cuttlebug folder with the same ink and cuttlebugged it :-) The gorgeous butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch, I punched it in white card ,, which was coloured with the same pink chalk and then the vellum was inked, sprinkled with sparkle EP and punched too. The pearls are from Kaiser Craft.

Another House Mouse card :-)

I made this card ussing one of my lovely new House Mouse stamps from Simon Says Stamp,, this one is called Bed of Flowers and was the stamp of the month for April :-)



I followed the fabulous sketch on the Card Patterns Challenge
I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with stormy sky distress ink. I added star dust stickles to the image and Prima flower. The papers are MME and DCWV Neutrals stack for matting the sentiment is from SU. I used a Martha Stewart boder punch and SU oval punches



This card is for my SIL who is retiring from teaching at the end of this term, her fave colour is green so I had to use alot of it :-)

I love Joy Fold cards, this is my 2nd one :-) I used my lovely Wild Rose Studio Milton with Flowers image. I coloured the image with copics and added glitter to the bouquet :-) The paper and brad are also from the Wild Rose Studio. I coloured the edges with Stormy Sky distress ink and used Prima flowers ,, glimmer misted and stickled , then curled around a skewer, these are from Simon Says Stamp :-)



Inside View ,,, maybe I should have stuck the ribbon behind the front panel or around the back !! will fix that !! :-),, we live and learn eh !
