Card Appeal for Jayme

is appealing for as many cards as possible to be sent to her sister Jayme who is terminally ill.

I am having a special event for my sister Jayme. She is in her early 50's and has terminal lung cancer. To make it worse, her sweet dachshund Molly passed away a couple weeks ago. Today we learned her cancer has spread to several other areas and her time is running out. I am asking for all my card making friends to send her a fun card...not really get well cards obviously, but something pretty or funny that will make her smile. She is a frog collector so frog cards would be awesome! I have been blessed by all those I design for to have a wonderful offer of blog candy. Details are below on how to enter. I will choose a winner June 2nd.

I used a new Heltz Cuppleditch stamp ,, I think it is funny and I am hoping it will bring a smile to jayme when she sees it I kept the card quite simple as I didn't want to cover up too much of the gorgeous paper !!

WOYWW !!

I haven't done this for a while ,, taken piccy's of my mess but thought I would today and join in the Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday :-) Now ,, this is REALLY tidy for me !! Had a big clean up last week as I have just ordered a fabby big corner desk that 'should'arrive in the 2nd June ,,, no next day delivery here you know!!!



I did have to move a card I have just made ,,, can only show that to a select few at the mo' tis for next weeks Sketch and Stash Challenge :-) As I am now on the House Mouse Monday DT I will be treating myself to a House Mouse mug too,, will look fab on my new desk ,,, :-) gorgeous they are ,,, am trying to persuade Heidi to stock them in the Simon Says Stamp Store :-) Do you think they would sell ??? Let me know what you think ,,, maybe we can twist her arm :-) OK now for the grand tour :-)



Still have the Simon Says Stamp and the Wild Rose Studio stamps waiting to be put away for another day ,,, made a card yesterday with those ,,, will have to tidy up a bit !!



I took out all the coats and jackets ,, and handbags from here and put alot of my stuff in here ,,,, much better :-)

Thanks for all your lovely entries to Domi's Sketch Challenge :-) I am sure all of you know that Domi got married on Saturday and she has some beautiful wedding piccy's on her blog :-) She looked positively radiant ,, so beautiful,, and her hubby is very handsome too ! :-)

This week, on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge we are asking you to make a tent card and add some charms to it ! If you are unsure how to make one of these simple yet effective cards, our amazingly talented DT member, Dena, has written a tutorial with photos which you can find here.

For my card I got out all my Tim Holtz goodies and had a play :-) At first I thought I would use his Chandelier stamp ,,, and was soo wishing I had bought the gorgeous Blue Moon birdcage charm ,,, anyway ,, in the end I decided to use my Weathered Clock stamp :-)



I dabbed some Antique Linen, Faded Jeans and Dusty Concorde ink on a craft sheet and sprayed with water ,, swirled some white card around in it then dried with a heat gun ,, and repeated a couple of times. I then stamped the clock in it and cut it out ,, then I added some Black soot ink to darken it a bit. The papers are from Creative Imaginations ( can't wait for my new Tim holtz ones to arrive,, they are probably Mid Atlantic now :-)) the frame was cut out on my Cricut. I stamped the frame with a TH swirly stamp in gold pigment ink then sprinkled with Vintage Photo distress embossing powder. The grungeboard hinges were given the same treatment.

For my charms I used a Tim Holtz Fragment Charm, I stamped a TH saying stamp on a scrap of the DP, glued it to the charm and cut around it. I also used a TH Muse token charm in the center of a flower. The flower is also Tim Holts ,, inked with the same distress inks and stamped in gold, used the same distress powder on it too ,,, it looks really good IRL !! honest !



I smothered the clock with Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint and added some TH clock hands and a clip to hang it on the frame. Think thats all ,,, sorry for all the waffle :-)

For my card I followed Claire's lovely sketch on the Moving Along With The Times Challlenge and in the process ,, completely forgot the shaped card bit of our challenge ,,, good job it is optional !! oops :-)



I used a this lovely Mo Manning stamped image that Cathy sent to me ,, thanks Cathy :-) This one is called Siku and Shiya, I coloured them with copics and added flower soft for snow and ice stickles for sparkle :-) The papers are Basic Grey and the ribbon is from my stash, The sentiment is Hero Arts and it says 'let It Snow' ,, it doesn't show up n the piccy but lookd nice IRL :-)

I found time to play today with another of the new Milton stamps from the Wild Rose Studio :-) I love these bears ,, so cute ! :-)



I followed Alex's lovely sketch on the Everybody's Art Challenge
. I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with spun sugar distress ink. The papers are also from the Wild Rose Studio, I used the Japan and Polks Dots paper packs. the flowers are Prima with velvet doodlebug brads and the gingham ribbon I have had for ages ,, I bought that from Meiflower. The sentiment is also from Wild Rose Studio :-)

I used one of my new Sarah Kay stamps from Simon Says Stamp this one is called OLIVIA WITH HER KITTENS KIKI AND SUGAR :-) I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with spun sugar distress ink. The papers are Basic Grey and the Brown card for matting is SU Close to Cocoa. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and have been sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist and dotted with star dust stickles :-) The ribbon is also from Wild Orchid Crafts and the charm is from my stash.

Totally Papercrafts Wedding/Anniversary Challenge

I followed Jo's lovely sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge I decided to choose bright cheerful colours for this anniversary card instead of the usual pink or red that I would normally use. I coloured the image with copics and added stickles everywhere. I inked the edges with orange chalk ink too. The papers are Basic Grey and I used a Martha Stewart border punch, The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusives set. I embossed the whole thing with clear EP and popped it in the center of a flower.

Wild Rose Studio DT Card

I had a lovely parcel of goodies yesterday from Dulcie at Wild Rose Studio and these lovely papers and stamp were in it ! :-)



I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with spun sugar distress ink. I then swiped a pink pigment ink pad over it and embossed with sparkle EP. I then dotted stickles everywhere :-)



The ribbon was from my stash and the flowers are Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts sprayed with glimmer mist. the sentiment is Hero Arts stamped with a tri colour pad and embossed with sparkle too.

For my card I used this lovely Whiff of Joy Mr and Mrs foxglove image. I especially love all the Wee images ,,, very cute :-)



I coloured the image with copics and inked the edges with stormy sky distress ink. the papers are Basic Grey
which have all been inked and glittered with Platinum stickles. . The flowers are Prima that have been sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist and dotted with star dust stickles for extra sparkle. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the fancy border too. The little gold swirl is from a pack of craft buttons.

Sleeping on thistles ,,,,,,aaahhh

This will be the last time I make a card for the House Mouse Monday Challenge as an entrant ! :-) YAY !! :-) I am so looking forward to joining in as a DT ! :-)




I coloured this gorgeous House Mouse Napping on a Thistle image with copics and added a little star dust stickles on the petals for sparkle and the edges were distressed with Dusty Concorde distress ink. The papers are brown/purple coredinations, which have been sanded to add a more distressed look and crafty individuals paper which has also been coloured with dusty Concorde ink around the edges. the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusives set



The theme on the Copics Creations Challenge is colouring on other surfaces ,, so I used my copic air brush to spray the flowers in 3 shades of purple and the button was clear so I sprayed that too, I then sprayed the whole thing with pearl glimmer mist and added stickles :-)
