Creative Inspiration Challenge GD card :-)

As you may know I won the Creative Inspiration Challenge last week and not only did I get to choose $20 of digi images from Maurie Manning at Mo's Digi Pencil Too thanks Mo x x x ,,, I also get to be their GD for a month !! :-) I have already made one mistake ,,, but we won't go in to that eh Nat !! :-)

This week they are asking for a card and a gift tag :-) The gift tag could be on the card (I think) ,, but I chose to make a little gift box and tag too ,,, I am sure I will use this set for someone :-) As you can see I chose to use one of Mo's fab images ,,, this one is called Christmas Fairy Holly ,,, isn't she beautiful !

I coloured her with copics and decoupaged her onto plain card that was coloured with some gold pearlescent chalk. The edges were inked with a raw silk ink pad and sprinkled with sparkle EP ,, :-)



The papers are printed from a lovely digi download from Digiscraps3 ,, these are called A Golden Christmas from Bubblescrap Designs. I added stickles glitter to the papers ,,, lovely and sparkly IRL ! I also used 3D gloss to the christmas bauble and lace stickles to her petticoat :--) the flowers are prima and I sprayed them with pearl glimmer mist. was from my stash :-)The sentiment is a Funky Fairys Papercrafts Punchem ,,, again ! :-)



Are ya bored yet ,,, not much further ,,,, :-) The tag was made using green card that was embossed with a holly folder. the fairy was coloured as before ,,, this is the beauty of digi images ,, you can make them any size you like ! :-)





All the holly leaves were made using my new Martha Stewart punch and I used red gems for berries

Simon Says 'Charming !! ' :-)

Oohh it seems that more of you liked the sparkle than the love challenge !! Not a very romantic lot then I take it ha ha ha :-) Lets hope you like our 'Charming Challenge more :-) we would like to see charms on your creations ,, not necessarily bought ones ,, we would love to see some hand made ones too :-)

This week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge we have the FABULOUS Wendy Vecchi joining us in the Designer Spotlight :-) I am sure that most of you will know that Wendy designs her own range of stamps and is a top designer for Maya Road,tim holtz,idea-ology and Ranger !! :-) We are so lucky that she agreed to join us ! Pop over to the challenge blog to see what she made :-)




For my card I used the lovely EDWIN SANTA'S LITTLE HELPER ( I only just realised the name of the stamp when I went for this link ! :-) ) I bought this one in Holland at the craft fair but it will be in the Simon Says Stamp Store very soon :-) I coloured him with copics in traditional Santa colours ,,,, not the ones invented by Pepsi Cola !! and sat him on a Whiff Of Joy Sledge :-)
The papers are also Magnolia ones ,,, I was almost crying cutting into these and am now kicking myself for not buying loads more !! The snowflake charm and ribbon are from my stash. I also used a couple of hero arts snowflake brads.




The snowflakes are a mixture of puncehes and die cuts. I added loads of Ranger stickles EVERYWHERE :-) I love the glitter card too ,, that was from my local Binky Crafts store ,,, isn't it fab ! :-) The frame was made using a Nellie Sneddon multi frame :-)

I am entering this into the Just Magnolia Challenge, Martine has made a fabulous sketch for us to follow and unfortunately she is now stepping down from the DT ,, along with Rach and Kim :-( I will be sorry to see them go but am looking forward to seeing what the new DT girls Jacque, Sheila and Jane will create :-)
I am also entering this into the Quixotic Challenge ,,, who also have charms as their theme :-) that was lucky ! :-)

Wild Rose Studio DTcard :-)

I made this card following the fab sketch by Louise on the Creative Inspiration Challenge :-)Louise is stepping down from the DT, which is sad ,,, but it means that they are looking for a new DT member !! :-) So if you're interested head on over to the challenge blog for details :-)



I used one of the new stamps that Dulcie the owner of the Wild Rose Studio sent me ,,, isnt he cute ! This one is called Dog and Bone ,,, that's the weirdest bone I ever saw lol :-) I colored the image with copics and decoupaged him onto designer paper. The papers are all from the Spring Papers CD I must say I do love these papers and the Christmas set is fabulous too ! :-) The flowers are prima and the ribbon and charm are from my stash. The gems are shimmer dots from Papermania,, I love these ,,, The sentiment is a Penny Black Bon Mot stamp which I covered with 3D clear gloss to make it look more like a bone :-)

Papertake Weekly Challenge :-)and some FAB news :-)

This is my last week as Guest Designer on the Papertake Weekly Challenge ,, the last 8 weeks have been wonderful ,, Dawny P and the DT have all been sooo nice to me ,,, which is why I am SOOO THRILLED to be joining them on the Design Team :-) YAY !!! Happy Dance :-) Can ya tell I am excited :-) !!

This week on the Papertake Weekly Challenge we have another one of Dawny P's fabulous sketches to follow :-) AND we are being sponsored by the one and only Kraftin Kimmie :-) Did you all join in the blog hop ? aren't the new designs fantastic !! :-) Kimmie and some members of her DT have joined us this week too :-) FUN !!

Kimmie very kindly gave the DT some of her fabulous stamps to use,,but before they arrived I had bought one !! :-)I had been wanting one of these lovely Moonlight Whispers stamps for a while so this was the perfect excuse for a little shopping spree to Bunny Zoe's Crafts :-) I have to tell you I ordered this, and a few other essentials,,,, :-) on Wednesday lunchtime and they were delivered at 8.30 am on Friday morning ,,,, in Gozo !!! Unbelievable !! I was hoping it MIGHT get here by Monday !! Thanks Nikki :-)



I used Clara for my card ,,, I coloured her with copics and decoupaged her and the birds onto white card. I coloured the edges with dusty concorde distress ink.
The papers are all from a gorgeous digi download from Digiscraps3 online store,, these are from the Winter Breeze Collection :-)

My First Wild Rose Studio DT card :-)

My first DT pack from Dulcie at the Wild Rose Studio arrived on Saturday ,, filled with lots of fabby stuff for me to use :-) It was difficult just deciding what to use first ! :-)



I decided to make another easel card ,,, I do love making these and I thought the boss might like it !!!! :-) The image and papers are all printed from the Wild Rose Christmas Collection CD It really is a fabulous CD filled with yummy papers and gorgeous images :-)



I coloured the image with copics and decoupaged her and the christmas tree. The baubles and the bow were popped out too :-) I added frosted lace stickles to her petticoat and ice stickles almost everywhere else, I did stickle the snowflakes and the christmas trees on the papers too but it doesn't show up very well on the photo ,, it looks fab in real life lol :-) the stars were punched out of yellow glitter card. The sentiment was also from the CD :-)




I followed Tanja's lovely sketch on the Friday Sketchers Challenge :-) I love this sketch ,,, nice and easy :-) Thanks Tanja :-) I will definitely used this one again:-)
I am also entering it into the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge who are asking for Christmas trees :-)
The Cupcake Craft Challenge are asking for Red/Green I know I added yellow and blue too ,,, so I hope that is OK ??
Also The Pink Elephant Challenge have an easy theme this week ,,, we have to use our fave medium for colouring ! COPICS ! :-)

House Mouse Christmas Gift Bag :-)

The House Mouse Monday Challenge have a lovely double pocket gift bag theme this week. The instructions for the bag are really easy to follow and the result is fab ! Well I like em :-) I will definitely be making more of these ,,, maybe smaller ones too to hang on the tree with choccies in ,,,, if I get round to it !! :-) The link for the bag is on the Challenge blog :-)



I made a bag and a christmas list post it note holder to pop in one side ,,, I was thinking of popping a pen and a small diary in the other side :-)

The stamps I used are House Mouse Rubber Stamp PARTY RIBBONS and HAVING A BALL





The images were coloured with copics, the frames were made with Nellie Sneddon multi frames. I used brown/purple coredinations and a little Basic Grey 'Girlfriend' paper. I added stickles and a few gems and that's about it ! Oh yes the 'Party' sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp Exclusives set. :-)

I am also entering this into the Cute and Girly Challenge whose theme is winter. I made a card already but they have different categories, this will be in the 'Creation category' :-)
It also qualifies for the C.R.A.F.T challenge whose theme is Christmas Gift :-)

More New Stash card :-)

I made this card using some fabulous downloads from Digiscraps3 Store :-) this is my first card as a desiger for Wendy ,,, the store owner :-) Hope she likes it !!! These papers are from the Winter Breeze set,,, gorgeous eh !! :-)



I followed Janneke's lovely sketch on the All That Scraps Challenge :-) I missed out the sentiment so I hope it still counts !! thought the snowflake said it all !! :-)



As you can see this is another easel card ! I love these !! :-) The image is a Sarah Kay Clear Stamp NOEL JOY Christmas Stampavie ,,, I saw this on a few blogs and just HAD to get it :-) Isn't she lovely ! :) I bought the flowers at the craft fair in Holland ,,, and sprayed them with pearl glimmer mist,,,, ooohhh yummy !! :-)



The image was coloured with copics and I 3D'd her hat bow and her cute bag ,, I would love a bag like that !! I used copic glitter pens in various places but these don't show up so well in the piccy :-) I added stickles glitter ,,, some ribbon ,, a snowflake charm and some punched holly leaves and thats about it :-)

I made this for a VIP ,,, what do you think ??? Is it good enough ??? :-/

Cute Card Thursday GD card Snips, Snails and Puppy Dog Tails :-)

First of all Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends on the other side of the pond :-)

This is my 2nd and final week as GD on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge :-) I have had a lovely time and would like to thank the DT for making me so welcome and having me join them :-)
This week is a fabulous theme 'Snips Snails and Puppy Dog Tails :-) Or to make it a bit easier ,,, a card for a boy ! :-) Loads of scope there :-) I am sure the DT will have made some fabulous cards for your inspiration,, I can't wait to see what they did !! :-)
Jo, my Simon Says teamie,sent me a stamped image of this ages ago ,,, which I used and loved it so I just HAD to buy this fab Froggie Gift High Hopes stamp for this challenge :-) I bought this from the lovely Nikki at Bunny Zoe Crafts,,,:-) As it has puppy dog tails in the title ,, I als HAD to buy this little cutie from Funky Kits ! This challenge has cost me a fortune !! lol :-)



I coloured the image with copics, dirtied him a little with brown chalk ,, didn't like him clean !! I 3D'd the little dog ,, I did mask him actually but you can't tell so I really don't knoiw why I bothered !! lol :-) The papers are from My Minds Eye, I also used some Brown/Green coredinations. The charm is also from Bunny Zoe Crafts, the buttons are from Sean's old skool jacket and the string was in a drawer ,,,I dirtied that with antique linen ink. The sentiment is another Punchem from Funky Fairys Papercrafts,,, if you haven't bought these yet you should ,, they re fab ! :-)




I am also entering this card into the Die cut Dreams Challenge whose theme is 'Puppy Love' :-)

Heidi tells me that they will be selling the High Hopes stamps in the Simon Says Stamp Store,,hopefully from tomorrow ,, so keep an eye out for them there :-)

Simon Says Winter Love :-)

Oohh we do love our animale eh !! What a fantastic response to our Amimal Antics challenge,,, Brilliant !!
lets hope you like this WINTER LOVE CHALLENGE too :-)

There are lots of possibilities for this challenge ,,, Engagement, Wedding, Anniversary,, Christmas card for partner, or even for your child ,, we do love our children after all :-)

We do have some sad news to share with you today tho ,,, unfortunately Kim is stepping down from the DT. We are all very sorry to see her go ,, as you all know her designs are fantastic and she is a lovely person too. We all wish her the very best of luck and hope she will continue to join us in the challenges :-) x x


Some friends recently asked me to make a card for their son's wedding. The colour scheme for the wedding was burgundy and they wanted the names of the bride and groom on the card.,,, this is what I came up with :-)



This was actually my first easel card and I thought it turned out quite well ,, I had to make a box to put it in as a normal envelope isn't very good ,,, tho if I was going to post one I would just use a padded jiffy type envelope ! :-)

I used a Penny Black Wedding Cake stamp and coloured it with copics and 3D'd it,,, The base card is lovely ivory stardream ,,perfect for special wedding cards I think ! The papers are Papermania and plain burgundy card. I dabbed beige brilliance ink onto a script folder and embossed the burgundy card it does look lovely IRL ! :-)



The names were cut out on my cricut, the flower is prima,, these were sprayed with glimmer mist so they are all shimmery,, for added sparkle I added a horseshoe charm a few dew drops and stickles everywhere :-)
The sentiment is a Punchem from Funky Fairys Papercrafts ,, I love these :-)

Luckily my friends liked it ,,, I haven't spoken to them since the wedding ,, but hope the bride and groom liked it too !! :-)

As usual Heidi will be giving some lucky winner a $25 shopping spree to her Simon Says Stamp Store and she will pay for the shipping too !! Lovely !! :-)

We have Norma joining us in the Designer Spotlight again this week ,, her work is absolutely amazing !! Another Whiff of Joy ! :-)

I just made this card following Dulcie's fab sketch on the Wild Rose Studio Challenge :-)





I used two of my new Whiff of Joy images that I won on the Spread the love for Jaimie blog hop on this one :-) ( Sorry Dulcie ,,, I don't have any of yours yet x x ) I coloured the images with copics and 3D'd willow onto the sledge :-)
The papers are My Minds Eye christmas glitter papers that I bought at the craft fair in Holland last week ;-) The ribbon is Kaiser Craft and the large snowflake (which is extra to the sketch) ! is a spellbinders die cut. The smaller ones are made using a Papermania punch.



I added some dew drops and lots of stickles glitter :-) The sentiment is also from a WOJ Christmas sentiment set that I bought last Christmas and have only just opened the packet !!!! oohh I completely forgot all about them !!! All the edges distressed with faded denim distress inks.

A BIG thank you to Dulcie for asking me to be on her DT !! I am soo excited !! :-)
