Cupcake Craft and Our Creative Corner Challenges

The theme this week on The Cupcake Craft Challenge is 'Inspiration' We are asked to create a card with the beautiful photo as our inspiration :-) I have tried to keep the colour scheme similar, warm yellows and cream.I also sort of followed shapes, the girl is a vase of flowers and the eggs are lemons :-) I followed the lovely sketch on Our Creative Corner Challenge.

I used a 2 of the stamps in the new Whiff of Joy spring collection, it's the 1st time I've inked them and think they're gorgeous :-) The papers are papermania and cordinations which have been cuttle bugged and sanded. The flower is made of various bits and the text was printed on the computer.
Also there is a DT call on the Cupcake Challenge so I am entering this :-)

Sketch and Stash Challenge

I followed the lovely sketch on the Sketch and Stash Challenge. I loved making this card it is for a very special girls birthday :-) Don't want to give too much away here, you never know who reads yer blog !! I have never used a download image, so this is a new thing for me. I bought the download from Pollycraft, she's called Birthday Milly, isn't she lovely :-)
The papers are papermania, the felt buttons are by hero arts and the ribbons are from my messy ribbon drawer :-)
I would also like to wish the new GD, Alison all the best :-) Go and see her fabby rabbit card, it's gorgeous !

Oh What A Night !!!!

Yesterday I was terrible with severe hayfever, so I took a pill, nothing happened , still sneezy n drippy ughugh . So I took another one !, still no cure soooo against hubby's advice I changed type of pill and found a stronger one and it worked wonders washed down with a glass ( maybe 2 ) of red !! Fabby !! sneezes n drips stopped.
Went to bed at about midnight and could not sleep, not a wink !! These pills have stuff in them to stop the antihistamine making you drowsy and stop you falling asleep !!!
note to self , must listen to hubby's advice !! ha ha ha
Feel as though I've just done a night shift !!!

The Secret Crafter Saturday challenge

The theme this week on The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is 'Transport', I love this Penny Black 'garden buggy' stamp so I thought I'd use that, though I was tempted to use the PB cow on bike one ,,,,,. The text is by Woodware.
The stip of DP is in a 12x12 book of papers from American traditional Designs, the rest is just plain cardstock. The felt button is hero arts and I just finished it off with pea green organza ribbon :-)

Penny Black Saturday and ABC Challenges

I followed the fab sketch by Dawny on the Papertake weekly challenge again, such an easy sketch to follow though I know I can't enter another card !! ha ha
The theme on the Penny Black Saturday challenge is something to eat. I chose the 'Cheescake Party' stamp which I have used several times and only just noticed an extra dot of rubber on the stamp causing a dot behind the birthday mouse's napkin, have nipped it off now !!! The paper is papermania and the text is hero arts number 1 and stampendous alphabet clear set.I 3D'd the cupcake and used applique glue sprinkled with sugar glitter, yummy :-)
This also qualifies for the ABC challenge which is C for 'Child' :-)

I have just seen that I won the Funky Fairys milk carton challenge and the GD spot :-) I was so busy uploading photo's and receiving the lovely blog award from 3 peeps !!! that I hadn't seen anything else :-0. I am sooo excited !!

I also have some 'other' news that I can tell you about too ;-)
I have been asked by Simon Says Stamps to start a new challenge blog for them !!!! How cooool is that :-) So ,,,, watch this space ;-) I ll be posting news about when it will start and some fabby blog candy in the hopefully not too distant future :-)
I think this is my lucky week :-) Think I should but a lottery ticket this week eh !!! ha ha

A big thank you to the Funky Fairy's team for picking me, I can't tell you how much I appreciate this especially as I have been made redundant from the Sketch and Stash Challenge ha ha

3 Challenges card

I made this card following Dawny's sketch on the Papertake Weekly Challenge I combined it with the Cute Card Thursday and the Charisma Cardz Challenge which are both asking for animals :-)
I used the Sensations stamp by Penny Black and the text stamp is a clear stamp from Papermania. The DP is craft creations. I really liked the paper and the sketch and I didn't want to add any other embellishments cos i really like this as it is !! :-)

Just Christmas and Birthday Challenge

I made this card following a lovely sketch by Gri-Heidi on the Just Christmas and Birthdays Challenge It took me ages to make this !!! As you can see I made this like a wallet with a tag insert instead of an opening card.
I used a lovely Whiff of Joy stamp , the DP is a double sided paper from Papermania, the brads are doodlebug sugar coated and the flowers were cut out using my cricut, the text stamp is hero arts.

Funky Fairys Challenge

The theme on the Funky Fairys challenge this week is swirls :-) I used a 'It's just so distressing' paper download from Funky Fairys which I then stamped swirly patterns from HOTP clear stamps with clear ink and embossed with plum sparkle EP. The small black embossed pattern and the Eiffel Tower are from Simon Says Stamps,the Dream Paris New York exclusive set :-) very easy this, no colouring :-)

BLOG APPEAL !! :-)

The Pink Elephant, Arty Girlz and Stamp Something Challenges

I made this card following The Pink Elephant Challenge sketch, it also qualifies for the Stamp Something Challenge which is to use 3D, and the Arty Girlz Challenge which is to use butterflies :-) ( Thanks Jeanette) :-)
The butterfly stamp is from Magenta, I stamped it onto black card using white ink and embossed with opaque white EP, then coloured it with artquest interference paints. The vellum was stamped with white ink and I used holographic EP. The black card I used for mounting was glimmer misted with denim blue and meadow green.
As you can see I used black/grey coredinations which was cuttlebugged and sanded. The swirly design was cut out on my cricut. The DP is doodlebug.

The theme this week on the Spoonfull Of Sugar Challenge is shaped cards
I've had these cat shaped cards in my drawer for yonks and thought it was a good idea to use one, well it did seem like a good idea at the time !! ha ha. The card and cat face stamp are from Stampendous and the paper or rather her rather fetching ball gown was made using doodlbug designs,with pink glitter and diamonds :-)
I got the idea for the 'Fur Ball' from one of my best friends, Bert Childers, a Texan Vet who was awarded a lifetime achievement award at the SPCA in Dallas for his services to the poor animals, The award ceremony was during the annual 'Fur Ball' Fab name eh !!
This card also qualifies for Our Creative Corner Challenge too which is to use a tag on your card.

House Mouse Monday and Cupcake Craft Challenges

I didn't know what Mojo was ! I had heard of people losing it but didn t know what they were talking about,,,, till today ! I think mine went walkies with Jessie and she lost it when she was bouncing through the fields :-)
This card took hours and hours to make ! I know it doesn't look it !!
Anyway here is my effort for the Cupcake Craft Challenge which is to use this sketch. I combined it with the House Mouse Monday challenge which is 'Mother' :-) My mum see's my blog so,,, ' Just that you know mum this isn't for you really '!!!
The HM stamp is a new stamp that I bought from Simon Says Stamps, I just wish I'd bought a few more !!I also used a Penny Black mouse paw print stamp and the stripes on the paper were made using a Judikins bollio, these were stamped with a purplish colorbox pigment ink and embossed with plum sparkle EP. I used pink stardream card to cut 2 frames on my cricut and to layer the paper too, the papers are from HOTP. the text was printed on the computer and the flowers were made with a daisy punch and my cricut machine.

Magnolia V Stampovie Challenge

I made this card for the Magnolia V Stampovie challenge which is to use this sketch. The Sarah Kay image was a RAK from Anesha and I think I have to get this stamp for myself, isn't she lovely :-) She is supposed to be doing a portrait of Tilda but can only paint bears !! ha ha.

Sketch Saturday and Colour Create Challenges

I followed the sketch on the Sketch Saturday challenge and the colour scheme on the Colour Create challenge,which is pink and grey, it is also optional to use cute and cuddly too, well I think this mudpie house mouse is quite cute :-) It took me ages to decide on which paper to use, and cut several pieces and didn't like any of them so in the end I printed some distressed paper from a download from Funky Fairy's and made a patterned paper using a Penny Black mouse feet stamp. I also used some grey core'dinations which I cuttlebugged using the swirl folder and sanded. The cupcakes and all the text is from a Simon Says Clear Stamps cupcakes set.

Secret Crafter and Penny Black Saturday Challenges

I made this card following the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge sketch. On the Penny Black Saturday Challenge the theme is 'Get Well Soon'.
The paper is BG London sunset, the stamp is PB mouse bouquet :-) The text stamp is by hero arts.
My new spellbinder corners arrived today so I just had to use them on this sketch :-)
I sprayed brown cardstock with green and peach glimmer mists, I used this to cut the diagonal strip, the largest nestie square and the corners, I don't know if it shows up in the photo's but they are really shimmery and gorgeous :-) The bronze flower is papermania and I think it finishes the card quite nicely :-)
I sort of decorated the inside too, this is a 1st for me . I usually just stick a plain insert with 'happy birthday 'or whatever stamped on it !!

Sketch and Stash Challenge,,,, Cat Wedding !

This is my 2nd and final card as GD for this challenge. This fab sketch is by Becky. As my last card for this challenge was using my new stash I thought I really should use old and neglegted stash for this one. The cat stamp is from an Australian company called 'Stamp-It' and is one of my first ever buy's, I used to colour it with orange and brown embossing pens ughughugh!! I don't have a photo ( fortunately I can hear you all saying ha ha ) otherwise I would have given you all a good laugh :-)The angel hair I bought at the same time, and obviously I haven't used it cos I still have loads of it ! I do like it though. I layered that over silver stardream card and secured it at the back. I decided to make this card into a Wedding card for cat lovers ! Hence the girly cat with pearls and the tom cat with a dickie bow :-)
The flowers were made on my cricut, I really don't know what I would do without that gadget !! The brads are papermania.
I would just like to add that I have loved being a GD on this challenge, Becky is a lovely girl and has given me alot of encouragement, go and see the cards the DT have made they are just fabulous :-)
