Simon Says ,,,,, Use an Arrow :-)

Hi all :-) I hope you’re all having a fabulous week :-) I have been busy crafting !! ,,, more than usual, as I am determined to join in every day with the Love Fest Event over on the Splitcoast Stampers Website, I am already a bit late with Day 6 but it is almost done,, will be back later :)

This week the theme on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge is ,,,,,,,,

We are showcasing Basic Grey Products this week, you don't have to use them, but if you have them we would love to see them  :-)

I used papers from a Basic Grey ‘Serenade’ pack ,,, one of my all time faves ,, I just love the colours and designs in this :-)

I made this card for my DS, Sean ,,, he never reads this blog so I am pretty safe :-) He had applied for a new job and he got it !! , he starts next month :-) YAY !! :-) He just needs to work his notice at his current job :-)

I used my Silhouette Cameo machine  to cut the big star out of the paper and some navy cardstock to create a frame and to give the paper more strength. I then cut a star frame out of the same card. I used a Simon Exclusives Falling Stars die to cut a panel to adhere beneath the star, the whole panel was then popped up on pop dots. The arrow was cut on the Silhouette too and it also printed the sentiment and did the line around the edge ,, I used a Silhouette Glitter pen and it is really sparkly IRL :-) The sentiment is from a Simon Exclusives ‘Shoot for the Stars’ set, this was also in the September Card Kit, and I added a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer Tiny Stars to finish :-)

ABC Christmas ‘D’ for Designer Paper

Hi all ;-) I hope you are all well and looking forward to Christmas ,,,, haha :-)

 Only 307 days to go so we’d better get a wiggle on,,,,:-) I love being on this team,apart from the fabulous friendly and supportive team, we all have a fair sized box of cards ready for Christmas ! No last min’ panic for us ,,, and if you join us in the challenges you will too !! :-)

The DT were offered an image to use and I chose this  ‘The Perfect Christmas Tree’ it really made me laugh when I saw it and I intend to make several in a similar design :-)

I coloured the image with Copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky and Forest Moss Distress Inks before adding star dust stickles to the pine needles and prisma glitter on the baubles and yellow glitter on the star. The papers are from an Authentique ‘Festive’ pack, the music paper is ‘O Christmas Tree !!! perfect !! :-) I used a Martha Stewart Icicle Punch, which is now discontinued :-/ and added a few gems and a comp sentiment to finish :-)

Buttons and Bling on the Papertake Weekly :-)

Hi all  :-) I hope you are all fit and well and ready for a new theme over on the Papertake Weekly Challenge 

BUTTONS AND BLING  ,,, a nice easy one eh :-)

We are sponsored by our very own teamies, Mary and Andrea aka The Ribbon Girl so a fabulous prize on offer again this week 

I have used a fabulous new Sizzix Framelits Flower Scallop Stamp and Die set and a matching Butterflies and Flowers embossing folder all designed by Paula Pascual. 

These were in my fabulous parcel from Sizzix, thanks Alison :-) xx

Now I have to say ,,, this card made itself ,,nothing to do with me :-)  I used Neenah Desert Storm and White Neenah card, after embossing the flower design the placement of the die cut flowers was done for me ,, I just popped them on over the top of the matching embossed ones ,,, BRILL ! I stamped the centers using the matching stamps and Pearlescent Orchid  brilliance ink and popped a few gems in the middle. I cut some strips of green card for the stems and added a button, varigated twine and a little LOTV tag to finish :-)

I have to say ,, I really love this card, simply gorgeous,, and I can say that myself without blowing my own trumpet ,,, cos as I already admitted ,, I didn’t make it ,, the fabulous Paula Pascual did !! :-)

SCS Love Fest Day 4 + House Mouse Challenge Reminder :-)

Hi all :-) I made this Mid Week Reminder for the ‘ I Love you SEW Much’ challenge over on the House Mouse and Friends Challenge and combined it with the Day 4 of the Love Fest Event over on the Splitcoast Stampers Website. 

 Day 4 is hosted by Score-Pal and are asking for Flip Flap or Oodles of Folds :-)

I used this very cute Happy Hopper image called ‘A Stitch In Time’  and thought it would be perfect for making a little box to keep my embroidery threads in ,,, not that I embroider ,, don’t misunderstandy :-)

I have had this very thick, strong card for eons and thought it would be fab for making a strong box and then I made an easel style card to pop on the top.  I coloured the image with Copics and added star dust stickles here and there. The papers are from the Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit 

( Did I tell you how much I LOVE these kits !! It’s like having a birthday every month when the postie arrives !! :-))

I cut a little bit of Cottage Red Felt using a Sizzix Hexagon die and stitched the edges of this, and all the papers on my machine. I finished with some White Hemptique Twine, a button and a Jillibean Soup Card Sentiment Sticker, I printed the text on my Silhouette Cameo.
