Sketch and Stash Challenge ,,,, Sue' Sketch :-)

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are all ready for a new week of crafting !

Time for a new theme on the Sketch and Stash Challenge and this time it was Sue's turn to deisgn the fab sketch for us to use :-)

For my card I used my fab new House Mouse stamp ,, this one is called Lip Smackin Relaxin ,, cute eh ! :-) I coloured the image with my trusty copics inked around the edge with pink chalk ink, then stickled with star dust. The papers were free with a magazine ,, which I had my friends bring me from the UK especially as my lovely teamie Jo was published in it ,,, and I was amazed when I opened it and saw so many buddies in there too ,, Dawny P, Marlene, Darcie ,, it was brill !! :-) The flower is a Basic Grey fabric bloomers one and the lovely brads are from the Wild Rose Studio
The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp Exclusives set. No neglected stash on my card this week ,, all new or in regular use :-)

Brand New Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge :-)

Long post ,,,, get coffee :-)

We have a brand new sister challenge that started on Monday called the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge

the theme for their fist week is 'Things With Wings' :-)

Heidi very kindly sent all the Simon Says Stamp Challenge DT a little DT pack filled with bits and bobs taht we could use to enter the challenge :-) Thanks Heidi x x i do have quite a stash of Tim Holtz goodies and it was lovely to get everything out and have a play :-)



I had this 'recipe box' that was just waiting to be altered so i thought I would give that a 'go' :-) Firt of all I gave it a few layers of white acrylic paint ,, then inked all the edges with vintage photo distress ink I used a lovely sheet of paper from the Tim Holtz Lost and Found paper pad, I inked all the edges with the same distress ink and used a TH edge distresser,, fab gadget ,, better than scissors !! :-)



The bird is a grungeboard die cut that I painted white with acrylic , then inked with tea dye ink , then stamped using a TH script stamp and embossed with tea dye distress powder ,, looks fab IRL !! the swirl was made using a new Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes die and grungeboard. this was coloured with pine needles distress ink and then I added rock candy distress stickles for a little sparkle :-) I added an ideology locket key hole
and a ticket sentiment. this was made using a TH Ticket strip die and stamps from the Odds and Ends 100th set




more grungeboard swirls, a Tim Holtz bird stamp and some black pearls to finish



sorry this is such a long post ,,,,, nearly finished ,, stay with me !! LOL :-)

the flower was made using a TH Tattered floral die I cut watercolour card as i find this doesn't tear as easily as ordinary card you can see a tutorial on how I made it on Christina's blog here

I used everything Tim Holtz on this tag ,,, I used , blue, green, yellow, and pink alcohol inks which I then smudged with the blending solution ,, stamped with various TH stamps and addded a few bits of ideology things :-) the blue fabric flower was in my drawer and was a gift from a blog buddy tho I can't remember who ,, sorry x x ! It was quite deep so I took it to pieces and held it together with a brad.
i know my tag doesn't look anything like a rainbow ,, but the colours are there ,, just grunged a bit :-) I used a TH on the Edge die cut along the bottom and added some navy blue card ,,, which was then stickled with star dust. The swirl was made using a TH die and grungeboard ,, inked with distress then stickled with rock candy. i really enjoyed making this ,, getting all inky and just having a play :-) FUN !! :-) with the exception of the flower ,, everything used is from Simon Says Stamp

For my card I used this lovely Happy Hopper Bunny Cruise stamp :-)



I coloured the image with copics and added star dust stickles here and there :-) I used some Tim Holtz Shabby Vintage paper. For the top part I stamped Hero Arts clouds, masked them and sprayed with copics using a copic sir brush system. The 'sun' was made using a Nellie Snellen circular die cut and a Hero Arts felt button, The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp exclusives set :-) I used a few Robins Nest Dew drops and a Blue Moon Travel Charm :-)

I used a lovely Greeting Farm Keep Cozy set. This set comes with 3 little snowpeople so I have to make 3 cards !! :-) These are small 10x10 cm ones ,,, very cute and dinky :-)
I coloured the images with copics and added stickles here and there, the papers are Papermania Blue Christmas ones and the sentiments came with the set too. I added a few gems to finish :-)

For my card I used a lovely House Mouse Monica with Pacifier stamp. I coloured the image with copics and chalked the edges with pebbles inc pastel chalk. The papers are old digi downloads from Funky Fairys Papercrafts which has now closed down. I stamped some mice paw prints across the middle and added a SU ribbon. The flower is Prima and the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusives set I added lots of stickles, a few Robins Nest dew drops and a little pram charm :-)

I used my lovely Happy Hoppers Wishin Well stamp. I coloured it with copics and coloured the edges with stormy sky distress ink. The papers are Basic Grey and I used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and leaf punch. I also used a lucky horse shoe charm and a Tim Holtz addage ticket

WHITE AND BRIGHT

so we would like to see lots of white on your creations with bright colours :-)

Now ,, I had the idea in my head for a White Witch ,,, and then it ended up completely different ,,, I sort of lost the plot on the way !! :-) Anyway ,, as you can see I chose mainly Lime Green as my bright colour :-)
For my card I used this lovely Little Bit of Magic Whiff of Joy stamp I coloured the image with copics and coloured the edges with distress ink, I also used a glitz roller doodle vines stamp wheel The papers are Basic Grey and the sentiment is from a Wild Rose Studio sentiment set. I used a Tim Holtz swirl embossing folder which I inked slightly with distress ink too. The ribbons were in my stash and I added a satin flower and some pearls and pearl sprays too.

I used my lovely Purrty Nails House Mouse stamp :-) I coloured the image with copics and coloured the edges with distress ink. The papers are Tim Holtz Shabby Vintage and I got out my sewing machine and sewed around all the edges. The pearls are from Prima, Say it in Pearls with Roses
The ribbon was on a bouquet of flowers hubby bought me for my B'day. I used a Martha Stewart border punch and added a few gems to finish :-)
