White Wedding

Hi, I made this for the cuttlebug challenge which was to make a 'white' card, Well 'White Wedding' sprung to mind so I just went with it !! I used my new cuttlebug embossing folders, so this also qualifies for Cute Card Thursday, which was to use something new.I tried to keep this as white as possible and only used a little pink and green twinkling H2O's where necessary. As luck would have it the word 'Love' just happened to be in the bottom R corner so I added a little pink glitter to highlight that, and while I had the glitter handy I sprinkled a bit on the little buds on the small strips. I know this doesn t qualify for the Whiff of joy Challenge , but I used their sketch for this cos I liked it :-)

Art Creation Friday

Hi I saw a beautiful card for this challenge on Joyful Stamper's blog
and just loved the paper that the challenge asks you to use. Its just gorgeous eh !! Well, I thought the paper looked gothic, so I went with that theme !!! Think I must be in a goth phase !!
The goth stamps are by Stampotique and the 'tree' is Hero Arts, fantasy tree.

Magnolia V Stampovie Challenge

Hi, I made this for the Magnolia V Stampovie Challenge which was to make 'Thank You' card to this sketch, I rotated it to make mine fit !! The gorgeous backing paper was made by Jamie aka Sgt Stamper who very kindly has offered to let us all copy it :-)The base card is hammered ivory card, I also used stardream gold and ivory and hammered turguoise card.
The window stamp was one of the 1st ones I ever bought, and although you can't see them there are sheep in the fields which when I used it for the first time I coloured green thinking they were bushes ha ha ha. I was sooo proud of that card and when i showed it to my stamping teacher , Alison Harding from Hailsham, she collapsed into fits of laughter ha ha Hi Alison if you read this :-) Ooh i might still have that card, stuffed in a drawer somewhere , if I find it I'll post it and give you all a laugh :-)
Anyway, hope you like my card, and a big thanks to Jamie, who if you e mail me your address i will post it to you :-)

Cupcake Craft Challenge

I made this for the Cupcake Craft Challenge which was to use glitter,,,, Well, I tried but I couldn't get any more glitter on this :-) The stamp is a Holly Berry medallion stamp. I have made a box to match but haven't taken a photo of that, I forgot and don't feel like starting again ,,,,

Our Creative Corner Challenge

Hi, I made this for the Our Creative Corner Challenge, which was to use this sketch. I really enjoyed making this card but I REALLY didn't feel like making something too luvvy duvvy :-). I don't think it shows up in the photo but I crumpled the cream card to make it look errr,,, crumpled !! :-) I also made the black backing paper with glimmer mists :-)
Hope you like it :-) but to be honest I like it and thats all that matters really ha ha ( only jokin, I do care REALLY ) please leave a comment I DO appreciate them :-)

I thought you might like to see a couple of photo's of my cats having dinner a few minutes ago :-) Gypsy , being small and still a bit scared of her big brothers eats alone. From L to R its Bob, Rooster, Pinut, Jezz, Tigger and Jack :-)

Craft Stamper Challenge

Hi, I made this for the craft stamper challenge which was to use this sketch. The backing paper I made using glimmer mists, its the 1st time I ve used them on such a large area and love the way it worked out, I used blue green and orange colours. The image is a PB stamp which I rarely use cos it takes alot of colouring and I tend to choose easier options usually!! The plant pots were cut out on my cricut and sponged with brown ink, what else,,,, the 'happy birthday' is a bit cut from a larger inkadinkando stamp ( think thats how you spell it !!! )Think thats all :-)

1st Sketch and Stash , Papertake weekly, Stamp Something New Challenge

First of all I would like to congratulate the girls at sketch and stash for introducing a brand new challenge :-)
We were asked to make a card to a specific sketch and use 'something new'. I REALLY wanted to use my new set of clear satmps from 'Stamps Happen'. My mum bought these for me for Christmas from Charmed Crafts I apologise for altering the sketch slightly but i had to for it to fit !! sorry :-/. The dots on the red background card was made using my Judikins bollio and black stazon ink. I also used loads of glitter n liquid pearls which doesn't show up very well but they are there :-)I really like this set but next time I think i 'll use the 'other' hairdo , this was tricky to cut out !!
p.s The Papertake weekly challenge is to use spots !! This fits the bill so am entering it for that one too :-)
p.p, s I am entering it in the Stamp Something new challenge too :-)

4 Challenges in 1 :-)

Hi I have managed to enter 4 challenges with this one and I think I am in time for all of them !!! Yeah :-)
1, the Penny Black challenge which was to emboss. I used pigment ink and embossing powder and also did dry embossing with cuttlebug folders.
2, Saturday sketch challenge, I used this fab sketch by Emma. Happy Birthday Emma :-)
3, Cupcake challenge which was to make a card that reflected their blog, and I think this one does just that!!
4, Cuttlebug Challenge which was to sand the embossing, which I did ;-)

2 challenges card !!!

Hi , I made this card to enter 2 challenges , the saturday sketch, which i am too late to enter !! and another one where we have to use a butterfly and i can t remember where I saw that one !! ha ha
So if anyone knows can you tell me ha ha.
Anway,it did motivate me to get this butterfly stamp out by Judikins, I have had it for ages and never used it.

Whiff of Joy Sketch Challenge

Magnolia V Stampovie challenge

Hi, this is for the Magnolia v Stampovie challenge :-). I think maybe this card is a little 'plain' but I did try to plonk some flowers on and they just looked ughughug ! :-)

These are better photo's of our new kitten 'Gypsy' , she is settling in nicely and isn't hissing at the other cats and Jessie dog quite as much, though she's not completely convinced that Jessie won't eat her :-) Her leg and tail are healing nicely and she now knows where the cat litter is !!!

4 Challenges in 1

Hi , I made this card to enter 4 challenges , time being short at this time of year !!The sketch is from the Twinkling Tuesday challenge, I used acetate for the OCC challenge, The ABC challenge is 'U' for under , so the image is under the acetate, and last but not least is the 2 bananas challenge , which was to make something using your favourite stamp and say why it's your favourite
The stamp is by Magenta and I like this stamp particularly because it is so easy to use. It can be used for a christmas card with a stocking in his mouth , a valentine if you use a heart, birthday with the bone or a gift , anything really , this stamp is so versatile. And as I make cards to sell for the local SPCA it gets alot of use :-)

Our New kitten, Gypsy

I know this is a terrible photo but I wanted to post a photo of her and this is the best of a bad bunch !! Will try to get a better photo later:-) She spent the night on Amy's bed !!

New Kitten!!

Last night Amy left her bedroom door open for a few minutes while she popped next door to speak to her friend ( it opens into the driveway)then she went out for the evening and a kitten sneaked in without anyone noticing. I went downstairs, locked her door and switched her electric blanket on, not noticing a kitten amongst the pile of clothes n bags strewn on her bed !!When she came home at about 11 pm, this little kitten was all curled up n purring. She was full of fleas n tics and has half her tail missing and has a sore on her back leg !!!
Anyway , now she is all clean and de flea'd and her name is now Gypsy!! So that is cat No 7 !! What a nice Christmas present eh !!

Papertake Weekly and Cupcake Craft challenges

Hi, I made this for the cupcake weekly challenge, which was to use something printed on the card so I printed the words onto the ribbon on my computer. I thought the papertake weekly sketch was lovely so i used that to make this card :-)

Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday :-) We had a quiet day, me and my husband Ray and out 2 children for lunch , then friends came round in the evening. Nice relaxing day :-)though I did miss all my family and friends who live in the UK and my sister and family who live in Nijmegen ,Holland.

View from My Balcony

Hi, i just thought some of you might like to see what i can see from my balcony :-)This is one of my cats, Bob, he is completely deaf and was adopted from the Gozo SPCA, isn't he gorgeous:-). That is the mediterranean you can see in the distance !!:-)
This photo was taken by Kathi Childers, who, along with her husband Bert,stayed at our home and took care of out pets and kids while we were in Barcelona at the begining of December :-)
