Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is to make something for a girl, think feminine.

Girl Power

We are showcasing Winnie and Walter Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used.

This week we are welcoming back the lovely and super talented Vicki Finger aka Twinkling Paper Studio the Designer Spotlight. If you haven't visited Vicki's fabulous blog before then you are in for a real treat!

I used a Big Bold and Party Stamp Set

I chose some of the smaller word stamps and white heat embossed them onto a piece of watercolor paper. Then I blended Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade over the top and spritzed and splattered with water. When that was dry I splattered a little Dylusions Black Marble Shimmer Spray

I black heat embossed the big birthday sentiment and fussy cut it out, that was a labour of love I can tell ya ;-)

I finished with some Studio Katia Cupids Kiss Crystals (which are on special offer at the mo' for only 99cents, reduced from $3.99 so a big bargain!!) and wrapped with White Iridescent String

I also used a panel of gorgeous Hot Pink Glitter Card Stock that was in the Assorted Pack I bought recently

and I finished the inside

It's time for a new theme over on the Papertake Weekly Challenge

ANYTHING GOES

Optional extra is to make something that reminds you of summer or has a summery theme

I used a new stamp set from Winnie and Walter called Lola's Bouquet and I used a new MISTI tool to do the stamping too. It really made life so much easier :-)

Roses remind me of summer, we have lots of varieties growing in the garden, so beautiful and the scent is gorgeous.

I used various inks for the stamping and I stamped the vase with versa fine ink onto vellum and heat embossed with clear powder. I just added some glossy accents behind the ink to stick it to the card. I love the opaque glass look of it :-)

Lots of masking went on here but I think it was worth the effort, I am quite pleased with how this turned out :-)
