Stampendous Party Hats

Hi all :-) I am here with a reminder for the House Mouse and Friends 'Lost and Found Challenge'

This is a really fun challenge,  chosen by our lovely Heather, and we have had some fabulous and very funny interpretations on this theme, so we hope you will join in too :-)

This cute 'Party Hats' stamp 'found' its way into my shopping basket and the little one is 'lost' under the big hat :-)

I paper pieced the hats and added some machine stitching around the edges, it is ages since I plugged the machine in and I think I need more practice ,,, haha ,, don't look too closely ;-)

Sketch and Stash Challenge 34

Good morning bloggers :-) I hope everyone who was stuck in far away places due to the Volcano has managed to get home :-) What a palaver it was for so many people ! I was very lucky in that my flight came back as scheduled but I did think I could be in Yorkshire for weeks ! I was staying with parents so at least I would have been OK and a few lovely blog buddies live nearby so I was already planning crafty days in their cubby holes :-)

Onto this weeks Sketch and Stash Challenge, Becky has designed a fabulous sketch for us to follow and it is a particularly good one for all those larger stamps :-)

For my card I used my lovely new Bunny Buggie from Simon Says Stamp. I coloured the image with my trusty copics and inked the edges with distress ink ,, then pigment ink and embossed with sparkle EP. The papers are neglected Papermania ones and the fancy border is an ew Do Crafts XCut punch :-) I really didn't know what sentiment to use with this ,,,,, any ideas ?? I hand wrote this one but it is not stuck down so I can change it :-)

Simon Says Easter/Spring with Glimmer Challenge

Another Wedneasday, another fabulous challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge :-) This week we are doing something completely different ,,,

EASTER/SPRING with added glimmer

As you may have noticed there are a few with the same theme ,,, so plenty of opportunity to combine challenges ! The DT have all used Glimmer Mist on their creations and Heidi Swapp has made a fabulous video tutorial on them which you can see over on the challenge blog . It is well worth watching and if you have glimmer mists we would love to see them used this week ,, but it is not necessary to enter the challenge :-)

Gunn is joining us in the Designer Spotlight again this week, if you haven't visited her blog yet then you are in for treat !! You really should go to say 'hello' ! :-)




I just can't resist these cute Happy Hopper stamps ! I think these are THE perfect Easter stamps, that little chick telling bunny to hurry up ,,, sooo cute :-) This one is called Will Knit for Friends and is available in the Simon Says Stamp Store, all the Happy Hoppers, House Mouse and Gruffies are available !! :-)
I coloured the image with copics and glimmer mists. the shimmer looks really good on the chicks beaks and feet,, I used peach delight to colour those. The papers are Bo Bunny and I used a Martha Stewart border punch, The flower is Prima and has been sprayed with pearl glimmer mist. I love this one particularly and have almost used up the whole bottle, so definitely need to get a new one ! I also coloured the central flower and the edges with peach delight glimmer mist.
