I was thrilled to be asked to take part in this, Day 1, of the Blog Hop and luckily the parcel from the Celebrate Release arrived in time! Thanks so much Heidi, Susan and all at Simon HQ!
I made a few cards to share today, first up is a thank you card for a teacher, you may need to put your shades on ;-)
I made a slimline card using a fabulous Star Bulb Die a Sunrise Overlay Embossing Folder and an Appreciate You Stamp and Die Set
I white heat embossed the 'Teacher' sentiment onto black cardstock and black emossed the rest of the sentimernt onto a strip of torn Vellum. I blended Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks onto the bulb, and behind it to make it glow. I also used silver holographic card for the star and the buld threads.
I blended Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink through the stencil and then smothered with Texture Paste, which was also colored with the same ink, and then sprinkled with Earth Safe Glitter. I finished with a black Doodlebug Sprinkle Dot and added a strip of Black/White Plaid Paper
Next up are a couple of cards made using a super cute Celebrating You Stamp and Die Set
I colored with Copic Markers and added a few dabs of Star Dust Stickles on the gift and party hat. I added a few sequin stars and a strip of Washi Tape to finish
and I made a similar one using the same Celebrating You Stamp and Die Set

All fantastic cards! And you have given me a great idea for some birthday cards! I have two granddaughters celebrating their birthdays tomorrow & I was kind of stumped about what kind of cards to make. I just finish covering some panels with striped backgrounds using washi tape.
