Simon Says Stamp April "Friendly Flowers' Card Kit

Hi all, I hope all is well with everyone xx 

I just received the Simon Says Stamp 'Friendly Flowers' April Card Kit  and couldn't wait to dig in! 

The products in this kit are just GORGEOUS and I made a couple of slimline cards to share today.

 

For this first one I trimmed down a page from the Simple Stories Cottage Fields 6x8 Paper Pack. The designs in this pack are so pretty and I love the 6x8 format, perfect for making slimline cards! I used a little of the excess paper to decorate the envelope. 

For this next one I used Old Paper and Spun Sugar Distress Ink for the background and when it was dry I stamped the flowers from the Friendly Flowers Stamp Set  and embossed with Tim Holtz Hickory Smoke Embossing Glaze. I then used the Cream Embossing Powder, that was in the kit, and some cream twine for the sentiment. I also decorated an envelope to match, I find this saves the bother of having to find envelopes when you need one, you know you have it ready ;-)
