Simon Says: Make Your Own Background

Hi all!Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

This week the theme is

MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Paper Artsy. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we are welcoming the lovely Kerstin aka Scrapbook Dreams into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven't visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

I made a card using  Zini 35 and a Jofy 19 Cling Stamps, I love this little kitty! fabulous quirky don't you think! :-)

I coloured the images with Copic Markers, fussy cut them out and then started on the background. I started by splattering Distress Resist and when this was dry I blended Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks, which I then splattered with water and sprinkled Slime and Royal Blood Infusions and spritzed again. 

I then used a Tim Holtz Bubble Layering Stencil and White Embossing Paste to add some texture, I splattered this with some Dylusions London Blue, White Linen and Twisted Citron Distress Spray. I also used a Paper Artsy Jofy 61 Stamp Set to add the berries down the left side
