Simon Says: Things With Wheels

Hi all!Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

This week the theme is

Things With Wheels

This week we would like you to think about wheels. This theme has so many interpretations, you might think about cars, bikes etc, or maybe what makes the wheels go around, cogs and gears, or maybe even the wheels of time! Lets get those cogs in our brains working!

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your creative makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!
Please pop by to see what our fabulous guest Lucyna and the DT have made! Awesome creations! :-)

I decorated a couple of pages in my Dylusions Art Journal using Visible Image 'Ahead Of Our Time and  Somewhere In Time Clear Stamp Sets and a Simon's Exclusive Jazz Dance Stencil.

The wheels of time spin so quickly!

I should have taken step by step pics, but as I really had no idea where I was going with this I thought it would most likely end up in the bin ;-)

I started by painting the pages with White Gesso and when it was dry I scribbled Twisted Citron,Chipped Sapphire and Weathered Wood Distress Crayons randomly, spritzed with water and used my finger to blend the colours a little bit. I then sprinkled a few granules of 'A Bit Jaded' Infusions and spritzed with water. I splattered several colours of Dylusions Inks over the top for good measure too ;-)

While that was drying I stamped the broken watch and man with Black Arcival Ink onto Plain Collage Paper, I also stamped and Copper embossed the gears onto collage paper and when the background was dry I glued them in place using Collage Medium

I used the Jazz Dance Stencil and White Embossing paste to add the design and while it was still wet I sprinkled a little silver embossing powder randomly in places and gave it a blast with a Heat Tool.

I really love how this turned out!

Thanks for looking!

So now it's YOUR turn to get your wheels turning!!

Do you use Instagram ?  If so please add  #sssmchallenge so we can see your entries there too

I really like how this turned out! It has such a sense of energy and magical movement. It looks like imagination on a page (as cheesy as that sounds) and I love the vibrant colors!
