Simon Says: Something New

Hi all!Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

This week we would like to see something that you haven't used before. It doesen't necessarily have to be brand new, but something new to you. Please say what it is in the write up of your post.

Something New

As it is the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a particular company. This time we are all using our very own Simon Says Stamp Products. You don't have to use them to join in, but if you have them we would love to see them used!

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your creative makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!
This week we are welcoming the super talented Wendy aka Dabble (Kinda) Doday into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven't visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

I made a card using a new Damask Background Cling Stamp. I have used this stamp a few times already and I am absolutely in love with it, so versatile and so pretty! This time I inked the stamp with a clear embossing ink pad and then embossed with Judikins Sticky Stuff Embossing Powder. You have to be very careful not to over heat as this will dry out all of the stickyness, I then smothered with Prisma Glitter, ooh this so super sparkly, and reflects the light so prettily, in real life ;-)

I also used a new Always and Forever Clear Stamp Set from the latest Simon Says Stamp You Are Loved Release . I colored with Prismacolor Pencils and fussy cut them out, the coordinating dies are on their way and should be around mid-Atlantic by now ;-)

I used White Embossing Powder and it wasn't until later that I thought that I should have used Glow In The Dark Powder!! I will have to make another one now! ;-)

I used a paper distresser to roughen up the edges and chopped up the sentiment to grunge it up a bit too ;-)

I finished the inside, I love this setiment, it may not be how other people would use it, but I think its cute like this ;-)

edited to add: I just went to add my link into the 'You Are Loved Gallery' on the Simon Says Stamp Blog and saw THIS CARD by the lovely Ilda Dias, which is very similar, a more daylight version, of mine :-)

Thanks for looking!

So now it's YOUR turn to get creating a 'new' project!!

Do you use Instagram ?  If so please add  #sssmchallenge so we can see your entries there too

Hi Lorraine, how wonderful to be able to leave a comment for you after you leave so many for my cards on Instagram!! I can totally see why you love that background stamp, its so intricate. I've never used the sticky embossing powder before. It certainly does the trick with holding on to all that gorgeous glitter. And the banner of lightbulbs with hearts is fabulous. So wonderful to have you join us at TIME OUT!
