Simon Says Stamp: STAMPtember® Blog Party!

Oh my goodness I can hardly believe that another STAMPtember® has spun around so quickly!!! STAMPtember® is a special time of year at Simon Says Stamp. It is a month long celebration of all things crafty and a time when lots of stamping companies come together to create something AWESOME!!

This year Simon has organised a massive STAMPtember® Celebration/Scavenger Hunt Party and has invited lots of fabulous designers to create cards and stuff and you are all invited to join in! There are lots of different 'gifts' on all of the designers blogs so it is worth popping around to see everyone and see what treasures you can find!! For todays card I used a gorgeous new Birthday Borders Stamp and Die Set, which I am sure will sell like hot cakes, and made a girly card. I made a similar, more masculine, card yesterday. CLICK HERE is you would like to see the boys version ;-)

I die cut a piece of Watercolor Paper using an Outside In Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts Set, I think the scalloped border gives a lovely pretty edge, and then dipped this into a puddle of Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. When this was dry I splattered with Dylusions Black Shimmer Spray. 

While the background was drying I stamped the candle outline using Simon's Intense Black Ink and then used Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Inks and the solid stamps to fill in. I then used Star Dust Stickles on the flames and Glossy Accents on the candles.  

I gold heat embossed the sentiment banner. 

and I finished the inside 

and I made a matching envelope ;-)
