Sprinkles and Splatters
Sprinkling and Splattering are my fave techniques! I love mushrooms and when I saw this GORGEOUS Dylusions Toadstool Town Cling Stamp Set I just HAD to have it!! While I was making this card I thought this would also make a fabulous 'FUN'ghi' Note/Recipe Book to send with the card so that will be my next project, BRB!
When I was writing the words I was going to say 'Buzzin' on by just to say 'Hi' but then I thought, bees don't say that so I stuck with bee language ;-)
I stamped and masked the image, little tip here, make sure you stamp on the correct side of the masking paper as otherwise, after you have spent ages fussy cutting, you will end up with a mirror image of the shape you need, just saying' *ugh* ;-)
After placing the mask over the image I before splattered with Tim Holtz Distress Resist Spray, (so thats my Splattering done *tick*) When the resist was dry I blended a little Broken China Distress Oxide Ink over the top.
I got so carried away with the next bit that I forgot to take more pics, but while the mask was still in place I used a Tim Holtz Leafy Layering Stencil and Hickory Smoke Oxide Ink to add some design to the left side and then sprinkled (so thats the Sprinkling bit done too;-)) with A Bit Jaded and Slime Infusions, spritzed with water and when that was dry I splattered with Dylusings Ink Sprays.
I then coloured using Zig Color Brush Pens and fussy cut the bee used a 3D foam pad to pop her on there. I finished by stitching around the edges, added a little Washi Tape and wrapped some Black Twine and tied a bow! I did finish the inside but left it blank to write a note.

Awww, Lols, this is so adorable, I feel like this is what a fairy garden might look like! The bee is so, so cute and the spotty 'Fun' ghi' are beautiful. aw I love this Lorraine. Its just makes me smile. Wonderful colours and use of the distress resist spray. Loving those sh'rooms and you're bee is super quirky and 'bee language' is cool by me.
