Simon's May Card Kit Shaker Card and Matching Envelope

Hi all :-) I returned from a trip home to the UK on Monday and found the Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit waiting for me, what a lovely treat to come home to! This morning was my first opportunity to open up the box to have a play and this is what I made.

A card and matching envelope!

I used  Heidi Swap Minc Foil Applicator for THIS CARD yesterday and have now got a bit of a bug, I will be foiling everything for the foreseeable future, so you have been warned ;-)

I stamped the sentiment with Intense Black Ink and scanned it before printing it on a laser printer. This enables you to foil it, ordinary printer ink doesn't work. I have saved the leftover foil for another project. 

I have had several people asking me how I make shaker cards and requesting instructions so I have taken a couple of pics along the way. There are 2 ways that I make them, today I am using Scotch 3D Foam, but I also use a FUSE tool which I will use next time to show the differences. 

I use a double layer of the foam adhesive so that it gives a good depth for the bits to shake about in. I also pop extra bits into the corners, this makes sure that if there are any little gaps the shaker pieces won't fall out. 

I love the Pink Fresh Puffy Stickers that came in the kit and simply decorated a little bit with those, aren't they pretty! Very touchy feely too ;-) 

I took this pic below just to show you the Heidi Swap Teal Foil from an artsy angle, isn't it fabulous! I love this colour !

I finished the inside very simply using another of the sentiments in the kit.
