This week we are challenging you to use an ombre technique on your project
OMBRÉ
Definition: Ombré is a French word for a color with a shaded tone or varying tones.
An example of ombre is a color that fades from dark gray to light gray.
As it is the first week of the month we are showcasing a particular brand/designer. This week we are all using products from the fabulous Dina Wakley! You don't have to use them to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 gift voucher to one randomly selected winner to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
This week we are welcoming the lovely Alison Bomber aka Words and Pictures back into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven't visited Alison's blog before then you are in for a real treat! Please pop by to say 'Hi' :-)
I chose to decorate a couple of pages in my Dina Wakely Media Journal. I love that this journal has a range of different types of surfaces and textures, just waiting to be transformed!
For the burlap page I used Gesso to paint a white splurge and then splattered with various shades of blue ink. I coloured the seahorse, from aVisible Image 'Create Your Own Calm' stamp set, using Zig Markers in shades of blue.
For the underwater scene on the right I used Faded Jeans, Salty Ocean (of course) and Broken China Distress Oxide Inks to create an ombré look. I then sprinkled some Royal Blood Infusions along the bottom and splattered with water and inks.
I then ironed the page to dry and to make the paper smooth and then used a Mighty Wave Stencil and Embossing Paste to create some texture and then sprinkled with Seahorse Glitter. I used a Dina Wakeley Scribbly Fishes Stamp Set for the sea life.
Thanks for looking!
So now it's YOUR turn to get creating!
You have until Monday 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in

Gorgeous Journal spread Lols...I love it so much! The sea life scene is perfect...but the seahorse is my favourite...Very well done, my friend! Hugs xxx Simona
Your pages look great and really compliment each other. Of course the sea is an example of ombre as the shades of color vary with the depth of the water and you made me think of that as I viewed your creations.
Beautiful pages! I love the sea theme with those lovely shades of blue and your seahorse burlap page is amazing 😁. Wishing you a happy new week! J 😊
Seahorse glitter? Wow, what a gorgeous colour! I love the blue background you created for your underwater scene and that seahorse is so, so beautiful... need to investigate!! Hugs, Anne xx
Ooh, I love your ocean double. The whole page spread works beautifully with the gorgeous seahorse against the burlap on one side and the vivid watery depths opposite - ready to dive into!

These are fabulous pages and I love how you used the burlap background. The whole thing made me think of sand and soothing waves! I especially love the sentiment you chose, too!
This has to be my favourite project of yours, it is wonderful Lols and I love how you've used the two pages, combining the burlap with the cotton paper creating such a wonderful journal layout, full of gorgeous technique! xx
What fun, fun pages, Lols! Love the seahorse against the burlap (and the words are great!), and the delightful ocean scene with it's lovely layers! Kudos to you on the cutting skills with that seaweed!! Maura
