Simon Says: Easter/Spring Inspiration

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Easter/Spring Inspiration
the lovey Zoey has made us this super cute mood board for our inspiration, thanks Zoey XXX

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 gift voucher to one randomly selected winner to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

Please pop by and see what our lovely and super talented guest, Bonnie, and the DT have made, super cute and beautiful creations!

I  made an Easter card using the little bunny and the colours of the flowers and eggs for my inspiration.

I recently saw a Tim Holtz video where he used Yupo PaperAlcohol Inks and then stamped with Grey Archival Ink over the top and then used a cloth to remove the colour, it gives a beautiful ghost like effect.  I used flower stamps from a Tim Holtz Wildflowers Stamp Set and from the set and a text stamp to create this effect.  I then used a Burlap Layering Stencil and removed a little more of the ink using Blending Solution. I really love the effect this gives.

I used Simon's Exclusive Picture Book Bunny, coloured with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and Tim Holtz Wildflower Dies to create the meadow scene.

I love the way Macarena coloured her flowers on  THIS tag so I used a similar technique of blending the colours over watercolour paper, spritzing and the die cutting the flowers. So much easier than colouring them after die cutting and I love the random effect of the colours.

and I finished the inside using the same Burlap Layering Stencil and Wildflowers Stamps. I also added a couple of little butterflies punched out of the paper scraps.

Thanks for looking!

What a sweet card Lorraine. Loving the bunny and the surroundings you created for him are fantastic. What a great idea to layer die cut flowers over the stamped ones. Just beautiful, and a perfect card for our Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes theme at Allsorts this week. Thank you so much for joining us!
