Simon Says Monday Challenge: Young At Heart

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week we are challenging you to be

Young At Heart

You can interpret this challenge in a number of ways, the obvious being to add a heart onto your project, but you can also interpret as being young at heart and adventurous or daring!
It is the first Monday of the month and that means that we are showcasing a specific company. This week we have chosen to showcase our very own Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Products. You can check out the latest 'Hey Love' release here, its full of 'love-ly' stamps, dies, stencils and more.

This week we are welcoming Nicola  aka Paper Profusion into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited Nicola’s blog before then you are in for a real treat, her work is fabulous! Please pop by to give her a warm welcome :-)
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

I made a card using some gorgeous new shimmery Rose Gold Beeswax Polish and a Drawn Hearts Stencil for the background and also used a fabulous new Stacked Hearts and Stitched Rectangle Dies  to make a faux shaker.

I was intending to make a proper shaker, but then realised that I hadn't left enough room around the edges so I faked it and simply glued a few sequins behind the hearts, well, most of us have to fake it sometimes don't we,,,,  stick sequins on I mean!! tut ;-)

and I finished the inside, I didn't want to waste all of those lovely left over hearts so I used a few of them :-)

Thanks for looking!

So now it's YOUR turn to get creating! Although we do accept all creations, this challenge is specifically geared to mixed media/artsy style, so if you have never tried it then maybe you should give it a go, it really is a lot of fun to try something new :-)

Do you use Instagram ?  If so please add  #sssmchallenge so we can see your entries there too

You have until Monday 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in

Challenges:
Crafty Cardmakers.   Love
Make My Monday.  Shimmer and Shine
The Crazy Challenge.   Romance
Die Cut Diva's.  Use Red Or Pink

Hope you all have a great week :-)
Happy Crafting

I LOVE your sweet card Lols!! If you hadn't said anything I would have been convinced it was a real shaker. All the lovely layers and rippled edges look brilliant! I like the pink wax you've used too in the background. Thank-you for your lovely welcome and for all your help with my post today too! Nicola x

You made me giggle when you admitted to faking the shaker...I love this card and upon first look I never would have guessed the trick! You have layered up the different pieces so nicely! Thanks for sharing...definitely inspired to try using different dies to make the shaker cut outs.

Love how you have popped alternate colours back into the apetures of some of the hearts, and the gorgeous shabby chic and distressed feel.
