Simon Says: Flora and Fauna

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Red/White/Blue Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is

FLORA AND FAUNA

Definition: Flora is plant life; fauna refers to animals. The handiest way to remember flora and fauna is that "flora" sounds like flowers, which are part of the plant world, and fauna sounds like "fawn," and fawns are part of the animal kingdom.

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

I made a card using the latest and most gorgeous Hydrangea Petal Dies from the 'Among The Stars' Release, aren't they beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️ them

I started by scribbling Distress Crayons over a piece of watercolor paper, I have to say it got worse before it got better but I just kept on going, blending with my fingers until I was happy with the result.

I then used a Gridiron Embossing Folder, stamped with White Pigment Ink to lighten the de-bossed areas. I coloured the flowers with a distress crayon and smudges with my fingers and then used the script stamp from an IndogoBlu Tasty Textures set to add more interest. I made a trellis from a Carabelle Studio Textures 2 Craft Die (LOVE THIS), added some pearls to the centre of the flowers, a sentiment and Bobs your uncle!

Even though I do say so myself I am quite happy how this turned out, especially with the mess I made at the start , I thought it was going in the bin, but it just goes to show even when you think you can't, you can!! ;-)

Just get out those crayons and inks and have a play! We do accept cute creations on the Monday Challenges, but really, this is the challenge to throw caution to the wind and let your creative spirit free! just have a go and enjoy playing!

Before I go I have to ask you, did you watch the Wimbledon Womens and Mens finals this weekend?  Congratulations Serena Williams and the USA!! Woo Hoo !! 🇺🇸

and I was jumping up and down (and screaming a little bit) with joy for Andy Murray :-D Woo Hoo :-) 🇬🇧

So now it's YOUR turn, Happy Crafting

Pile It On   Use Your Favorite Colors, I love yellow and grey together and the aqua is another                fave so altogether this is my perfect combo :-)
Ooh La La   Something Beginning with 'F' Flowers

This turned out so perfectly! I love the combo of grids and flowers and the gray is such a classy touch. I was so glad to see something made with the Carabelle Studio die-- I have it, but haven't used it yet, so thanks for the inspiration!
