Simon Says: Home Decor

newchallenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Show Us Your Metal Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is

HOME DECOR

This week we are creating something to decorate our homes. It could be a canvas, a wall hanging, a candle holder, coaster, whatever you like! We will be looking forward to seeing what you make!

We are showcasing PRIMA FLOWERS PRODUCTS this week. You don't have to use them to join in, but if you have them we would love to see them used

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

As soon as I saw these gorgeous Prima Flowers Birdcages I had to have one! I started by adhering a piece of Melange Tissue Wrap to the back panel and then inked with Pumice Stone and Tumbled Glass Inks.

I then sprayed with Sparkle Shimmer before using a Bubble Stencil and White Embossing Paste down one side. While it was still wet I gave it a liberal sprinkling with Pumice Stone Distress Glitter.

I die cut a butterfly and embossed before adding Prisma Glitter, which is super sparkly. I made a mirror using my Silhouette Cameo and then glued everything in place.

I sprayed the Penmanship Flowers with Pumice Stone Spray and Sparkle Shimmer and then used a Glue Gun to position them.

I really love how this has turned out!

and now for a Birds Eye View ;-)

Lorraine, what a gorgeous piece. Love everything about it. The mirror on the back of the cage is so very clever, because it reflects all the wonderful additions you have made. Very very lovely, nice statement piece to add to any room in the house.

Just WOW! The cage is STUNNING! I absolutely love the shabby effect you gave it. Love everything on that piece of art, colors, details, the cutest bird and especially the great idea of making the mirror inside! What a talent!!! Hugs, Marzena

This is so pretty and I love how it tells a story! It is so clever to make the little birdie look like it's ready to hit the town, checking its reflection one last time! Maybe that's not the story you intended, but I thought it was genius either way!

This is so beautiful Lols! I love the whitewashed look of the whole piece and that the bird is ready for some adventure. Although I am sure she will be back since the cage is to pretty and sparkly!
