Hello Butterfly :-)

Hi all :-) I just got back from a lovely trip to Rome, visiting Amy who is 'studying' there for 5 months, I don't think much studying is happening but she sure is enjoying her stay :-)

I made this card just using a brand new 'Peacock Butterfly' die from the Wild Rose Studio

The strip of green dotty paper is from a new 'Icing On the Cake' paper pack.

I love using embossing paste ! it gives such a lovely texture and added interest to a card, if you haven't tried it then you just HAVE TO ;-)

I used a Tim Holtz stencil and used Squeezed Lemonade and Shabby Shutters Distress Ink to colour the background and then smooched the white paste over the top, as distress inks react with water the colour just seeped into the paste to create a lovely ice creamy look. ,,, YUM.

I then splattered some Hero Arts Yellow Dabber paint over the top.

I die cut the butterfly twice, once out of white card and once using vellum, which I then glittered and then popped the whole thing on top of some white irridescent twine.

Thanks for looking :-) I appreciate your comments so please leave me one ;-)

Cheers from Rome :-)

Lols totally love the colour combination of this card. I am one of those people who has bought the embossing paste and not quite built up the courage to use yet but I love the idea of the colour seeping thru so will have to go and have a go. Beautiful eyecatching card.
