Simon Says August Card Kit 'Happiness Enclosed' Reveal :-)

Good morning :-) I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend !

I was thrilled when my Simon Says August Card Kit 'Happiness Enclosed' arrived a couple of days ago,, I dropped everything and retreated to my room to play :-)

I love everything in this kit, the stamp set is FAB and I love the Simon's exclusive mask, it reminds me of Morrocan tiles ,,,    oops ,,, I have just gone to look at what it's called and it is called 'Moroccan Stencil' ,,, duh !! haha.

So that is the theme I went with on this card,,, Moroccan teracotta tiles :-)

I really love the burlap flower and was a bit reluctant to use it ,,,,I will just have to buy a pack of them !!  I used the stencil to create the background, first I sprayed it lightly with a repositional adhesive and then squished a versamark ink pad all over it to create a slightly darker look.

I then placed the stencil on some plain card and squished embossing paste through it and left for a few mins to dry a little bit before removing ,,,, tip,,,, rinse the stencil immediately, the embossing paste is very difficult to remove once dry ,,,, don't ask how I know !!!!! :-)

I then sprayed with Lindy's Gang Cocoa Bean Copper spray ,,, which is a teracotta ish colour. I thought it looked a bit too vibrant for this card so I toned it down with with a snow cap dabber.

I will link all the products at the bottom of this post :-)

Thanks for looking ! I appreciate your comments so please leave me one !

and now for the best bit !!!!

the lovely peeps at Simon Says Stamp have said that I can have an extra one to give away on my blog !! Woo Hoo !! :-)

THANK YOU SIMON :-)
