Cards for Maddy and Melanie Card Drive :-)

Hi all :-) I am here with a special card for a special girl and an appeal :-)

Maddy is a 13 year old girl who is undergoing treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. As you all know this is a terrible disease and the treatment to cure it is very gruelling. Part of this treatment will include a stem cell transplant from her sister, Melanie, and Heidi and Simon, the owners of Simon Says Stamp are collecting cards on their behalf, you can read more about it HERE on the Simon Says Stamp Blog.

I have made this card for Maddy following the fabulous sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge :-)

I cut off half or the front of the card so that the inside is partly visible. I used this very cute Happy Hopper ‘Gone with the Wind’ image, coloured with copics ,I added some Polar White flower soft to his cotton tail and oodles of star dust stickles everywhere I made the cloudy sky with a copic air brush and a B21 marker. The papers are from a My Minds Eye ‘Fly a Kite’ pack ( perfect !!) and I added some Martha Stewart punched butterflies, a Basic Grey cloud transparency, some purple washi tape and a Hero Arts sentiment.

On the inside I made an extra kite on my silhouette cameo, stamped and coloured a Hero Arts Bumble bee and added a felt cloud from Pebbles, the sentiment is also from Hero Arts.

Thanks for looking :-) I hope Maddy likes this card !! ,,, I will also be making a card for her very brave sister, Melanie, and for her parents too. Please join in with this appeal ,,,, I hope Maddy and her family receive a mountain of cards Smile

I think your card is very sweet! It seems like the little bunny has been taken by the wind and is holding tight to the kite to avoid falling! The glitter is a nice detail to make a frame arounf the lovely image.
