Hi all :-) It is almost the weekend ,, again ,, where do the weeks go ??

This week we have a couple off announcements to make ,, we are welcoming 3 new DT members to the team !! Wendy, Dora and Linda :-) Welcome aboard :-) We also have the pleasure to invite Lisa who is joining us as out guest Designer for the next 2 months :-)

This week it is the boss, Cathy's, turn to choose the theme and she chose ,,,

I do love sewing on my cards and have my machine constantly plugged in but you can use faux or hand stitching too if you prefer :-)

For my card I just HAD to use my new House Mouse stamp ! This is the new stamp of the month for November and is called ‘Balanced Diet’ ,, soo cute ! :-) I coloured with Copics and inked the edges with Tumbled Glass DI, I then added dots of Glossy Accents to the sprinkles and Star Dust stickles here and there. The papers are My Minds Eye from the Life of the Party pack and I used some Chocolate Chip SU card and Whitewash Coredinations too. I embossed the panel of Coredinations with a Sizzix Dots folder and sewed all the edges on my machine. I added a ribbon and BG Button with twine and the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp Exclusives set.

I followed the fab sketch on the Midnight Madness Challenge. America, on behalf of the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge is sponsoring with 2 gorgeous HM stamps this week, neither of which I own so I will be keeping my fingers crossed :-)

My Inspiration Showcase Canvas ,,,,

Hi all :-) I just wanted to show you my finished 12X12 canvas that I made following the Jennifer McGuire Inspiration Showcase online course. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and will be popping back into the site to make a few Jennifer inspired cards too :-) THANKS JENNIFER :-), not that she will read this ,, but ya never know eh !! :-)

This is now hanging on my craft room wall and as well as looking FAB it is a reference board showcasing various stamping and colouring techniques :-) I have also made one for my lovely Boss Heidi at Simon Says Stamp to hang on her new office wall :-) I hope she likes it !

There is another course starting on Monday, Holiday Boot Camp, which is all about Christmas creations ,, I am looking forward to joining in with this one too ! Can't wait !!! :-) For those of us who are quite isolated from a crafty community these online courses are just brilliant :-)

This month we are welcoming AMERICA into the November Designer Spotlight ! If you haven't visited America's blog, Cards By America, then you are in for a treat ! Especially if you are a fellow House Mouse lover ! :-)

I made 2 cards this week !! I LOVE buttons and do tend to use them on many of my cards :-)

First up ,,, Put Your Feet Up ,,,

I made this card for a blog friend who is going through a bit of a rough time at the moment and she does need to put her feet up :-)

I used a lovely stamp from a Unity ‘You’re a Doll’ set, I coloured her with Copics and made a felt flower using a Die-namics rolled rose die, the quality of this felt is fabulous ! LOVE it I also made her a little cushion to make her comfy :-) The papers are Basic Grey from the Life of the Party pack and I used some red card for layering, I used a Tim Holtz Mini Paper Rosette die and a MFT Button Quartet die to make felt buttons, I finished these with some Hero Arts twine, the ribbon was hanging on a ribbon ring and I added a heart charm to finish. All the edges were stitched on my machine :-)

Next up is this cute House Mouse Sew What



Little Monica is waiting so patiently for Amanda to fix her little toy mouse ,, sew cute !! I coloured the image with Copics and inked the edges with Spun Sugar and Vintage Photo DI’s I used basic Grey Out of Print papers and a Marjorlaine button, finishing with some Hero Arts Twine again. I used some TH Bias Tape which I coloured with a copic marker, the sentiment is from a Hero Arts Sew Artsy set.

For my card I followed the fab sketch on the Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge. I used a very cute House Mouse stamp ( for a change ,,, lol ! ) this one is called Making a Snowmouse ,, aww :-) I coloured with Copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky DI. The papers are Basic Grey from the Eskimo Kisses pack and the sentiment is from a Wild Rose Studio sentiment set. I used some lovely red gingham ribbon from The Ribbon Girl, a Fiskars border punch and Memory Box Twigs and Berries die cuts to make a little bouquet which I tied together with a little BG button :-) I finished with dabs of star dust stickles here and there and some Glossy Accents on all of the berries.

Snow Much Fun it’s Madness !!

Hi all ,,, I hope you’re all fit and well and ready for a night of Trick or Treating !! :-) I was tempted to dress up as a Wicked Witch and go scaring all the neighbours but as we don’t ‘DO’ Halloween here people might think I’m a tad strange,,, besides ,, it’s raining ,,,, :-)

I used this very cute Snow Much Fun stamp that I was very lucky to win on Curt’s blog a while ago, and it is one of my fave Christmas stamps ,, LOVE it , thanks Curt xx The little meece and snowmouse are all catching snowflakes ,, aren’t they CUTE !! I coloured with copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky DI. The papers are Crate from the Snowy Day pack and I sewed all the edges on my machine . I used a Martha Stewart Arch Lattice border punch and some spotty organza ribbon from The Ribbon Girl. I added a Hero Arts felt snowflake , a couple of snowflake eyelets and some Kaiser Craft gems to finish. I didn’t add a sentiment as I thought the snowflake said it all :-) ,, Let is snow, let it snow, let it snow ,,,, :-)

For my card I followed the fab sketch on the Sketch and Stash Challenge :-) I used my new House Mouse ‘Say Cheese’ stamp , I coloured with copics and inked the edges with vintage photo distress ink. The papers are Basic Grey Majorlaine and SU Chocolate Chip. I stamped some mouse paw prints along the strip of paper and covered with some Tim Holtz Film Strip and added a few Hero Arts gems. The flower was made using a McGill Buttercup punch, a smaller punched flower and I popped a card candy in the center. I also used a Magnolia Heart Swirl die to finish.

Inside view :-) I used a HM Party Ribbons and a Lawn Fawn Say Cheese photo stamp.

Hi all :-) I hope you’re all fit and well and thinking about the lovely weekend ahead, Halloween parties and the clock going back an hour ,,, quite alot going on eh ! :-)

I made this card following the FAB sketch on the Midnight Madness Challenge, did you see the prize on offer ??? 4 House Mouse stamps ,, NONE of which I have, so I am going to be keeping EVERYTHING crossed this week :-)

I am feeling a bit under the weather, quite like this little chap actually , what I thought was hay fever yesterday has developed into a proper cold,, so I am siting here with a huge box of tissues too :-)

I have had this stamp for quite a while and never inked ( shame on me ! ) This one is called Achoo coloured with my fave Copics , did you notice his poorly red eyes ? we have a matching pair this morning !! :-) I cut out the whole image and layered it to add a bit of dimension. I glittered the edges with Star Dust Stickles and added a few dabs onto the box too. The card and papers are all from SU ( bought from Mandi) and the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusives sentiment set. I used some ribbon ( which I should have ironed ,,,) a Spellbinders Ribbon Tag die and a few robins Nest Dew Drops to finish.

For my card I used my very cute Java Jumpers stamp from House Mouse, have you seen their wide eyes?? full of caffeine they are ,, lol :-) I coloured with Copics and inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink, I use this one such alot,, thank goodness for refills !! The papers are from Studio Calico, these are from the Autumn Press paper pack, gorgeous quality and designs. I used a Martha Stewart Arch Lattice border punch and finished with Hero Hues Brown ribbon and Earth Dots. All the edges have been stitched on my machine and I added Star Dust Stickles here and there and a couple of dots of Glossy Accents on their eyes :-)

I always think of Sarah Kay images when I think of Vintage so I used this lovely Noel Joy image, coloured with Copics and I inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink. I also used a Unity Postcard stamp, again I inked the edges,wrote an address and sprayed with Perfect Pearls Glimmer for extra sparkle :-). The papers are Pink Paislee Christmas papers and these have a page of small vintage Santa images, I trimmed one of these to make the postage stamp. The lovely trim was in a RAK from Vicky, thanks xx

I used an EK Success Snowflake border punch,a mixture of MS, Woodware and Do Crafts snowflake punches and a few Robins Nest Metallic Dew Drops to finish. All the edges were stitched on my machine, saves on tape ,,, :-)

I used my very cute Nellie Snellen stamp, this one is called Koetie with Squirrel, isn’t it cute :-) I coloured with Copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky distress ink. The polka dot paper is from Pink Petticoat and the blue base card was sprayed with a blue marker using my Copic Air Brush. I used a Martha Stewart corner punch, from a PATP snowflake border punch and I used 2 different Cuttlebug folders for the panels. The lovely scrunched white ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and I used a MS Himalayan Snowflake punch and a couple of Hero Arts gems, the sentiment is from a Unity set.

For my card I used my lovely House Mouse Apple Harvest stamp. When I think of Autumn I think of Cox’s Orange Pippins, lovely english desert apples that I can’t get here, so I tried to colour these apples to look like them ,,, although they do look more like oranges !!! ,,, need more practice :-)

I coloured with Copics, added Rock Candy stickles to the apples, then inked the edges with Stormy Sky Distress Ink. I kept the design very simple as this is a HUGE stamp and there isn’t much room left for anything else ,,, . The papers are Basic Grey, tho I can’t remember the name of the pack . I added some green bias tape from The Ribbon Girl and a charm and twine that were a gift from America and a few green Robins Nest dew Drops to finish.
