Less Is More ,,,, Yellow :-)

Hi all :-) I am making it a point to try not to miss the Less Is More Challenges ,, I really enjoy joining in :-)

This week Chrissie and Mandi are asking us for CAS + Yellow. I know some people aren’t keen on yellow but I love it ,, a sign of spring and daffodils ,,, lovely :-)

I bought this lovely Cheery Lynn Butterfly die on my recent trip to the UK whilst on a shopping trip with Mandy and this is its first outing :-) It comes in 2 pieces, a solid base and the filigree wings. I sprayed the solid part with yellow copics Y11, Y15, Y21 using my copic air brush. I then coloured the antennae on the fancy part with light grey and the body with Y23, then smothered with glue and sprinkled with White Glitter ,,, I loves glitter ,,,, :-)

I used a plain white base card and cut a square in the middle with a nestie, then I inked up a Hero Arts Flourish stamp with a Snow Cap dabber and stamped the front ,,, it leaves a lovely delicate design ,, very pretty :-) I added some acetate behind the window and stuck a sheet yellow DP from a Bo Bunny Ambrosia pack on the inside. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and I added some gems for even more sparkle :-)

Crafty Ribbons Challenge ,,,,, Flowers :-)

Hi all :-) this is my first proper DT post as a Crafty Ribbons Challenge girlie :-)

This week Pinky has chosen a lovely theme ,,,

Flowers ! ,,,, an easy one eh ! :-)

I followed the fab layout on the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge used my very cute House Mouse Bed of Flowers image, coloured with Copics and the edges inked with Stormy Sky DI. The papers are from an Echo Park Victoria Gardens pack and I used some gorgeous Vintage Rose ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, popping a flower in the centre of the bow :-) I added a glittered MFT Sunshine die cut, popping a button in the centre and finishing with pink twine. I also used a Martha Stewart border punch and finished with a few gems, coloured with a yellow copic marker :-)

I decided to make a little gift set of cards this week :-)

I really enjoyed making some spotty background papers using a mixture of Faber-Castell Gelatos and a Hero Arts Cling Dots background stamp. These were a lot of fun,, I just scribbled the gelatos onto the stamp, sprayed with a little water and then stamped onto Neenah card. I used a Hero Arts cupcake stamp from a Picnic stamp set, coloured with Copics and sparkled with various colours of glitter . The sentiments are Hero Arts and I made a box to pop the cards in, the tag was made using the Silhouette Cameo and I used a Simon exclusives set for the cupcake and sentiment.

Papertake Weekly ,,,, CUTE Challenge :-)

Hi all :-) Another Tuesday and a new theme over on the PTW ! :-)Oh my goodness ,, the weeks are whizzing by !! I have been a bit busy lately, getting ready for summer and I have been in Malta for a couple of days, shopping with Amy, household stuff for their flat, clothes, food ,,, spent a small fortune !! It also means I am a bit behind with commenting so apologies if I haven’t been to see you yet xx

We were offered a choice of images to use and I was a bit cheeky and asked for 2 ! I just LOVE these Betsy cows and had an idea to make a joy fold card :-)

I really enjoyed making this ,, made me smile alot ,, sooo cute :-) I coloured the image with Copics and I layered her head using pop dots to add dimension. I should have taken an arty angle piccy !! ,, next time ,,,, :-) I inked the edges with Stormy Sky DI and added star dust stickles here and there . The sentiment is from Penny Black, the papers are Basic Grey Marjorlaine, I added a few card candi dots, coloured with a copic marker, and the fab text ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons :-)

I just LOVE Gruffie ,, isn't he CUTE !! always getting himself into trouble,, either being chased by bees or hurtling along far on wheels. The only time he is safe is when he’s stuffing himself with choccy’s lol :-)

This stamp is called Biggly’s Tow Service, I coloured with copics and used a little essential star dust stickles on the floor. The papers are from My Minds Eye ‘On the Bright Side pack and I made a wheel using 2 Spellbinders circles and thin strips of card and popped that behind the image. I made the banner on a Silhouette Cameo and stamped them with a Hero Arts Envelope Pattern background stamp. I added some black and red hemptique twine and the sentiment is from a Paper Smooches Spiffy Scooters set , I popped a little button on there for a bit of added interest :-)

Hi all :-) I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend :-)

As some of you know I am currently following an online course called A Cut Above which is teaching us about Dies, Embossing and die cut machines ,, I am really enjoying it and learning alot, especially about my new silhouette Cameo machine ,,, soo much better than my Cricut ,, which is now looking sad and forgotten on my cupboard ,,, :-/

Yesterday in my first DT pack from Crafty Ribbons, I received this fab box of Flower Blooms buttons,,, and these were the inspiration for my card.Kristina Werner did a fab video on using the silhouette text features and this is the card I made following her instructions.

I use SU Bashful Blue card ( from Mandi) for the base and Neenah card for the white letters. I popped some acetate on the inside behind the ‘CUTE’ and added one of the flower bloom buttons, tied with white hemptique twine onto the front. I smothered the white letters with Star Dust Stickles and added some spotty DP on the inside. I rounded all the corners and used a white gel pen to ‘sew’ the edges.

White on White for the Totally Papercrafts Challenge :-)

Hi all ,,, oohh thank crikey it’s Friday !! a nice weekend to look forward to, we will be cleaning up the pool area, sun loungers at the ready ,, !! :-)Summer is here YAY !! We have had a very long and wet winter with one of the worst storms on record too so it is lovely for it to finally come to an end.

Anyways ,,,, time for a new theme on the Totally Papercrafts Challenge and it is Cathy’s turn to choose the theme ,,,

WHITE ON WHITE ,,, you are allowed to colour the image :-)

For my card I used a House Mouse Playing Dress Up image ,,, sooo cute !! :-) Coloured with Copics and the edges twinkled with star dust stickles. I used nestie circles to cut the mats and used a swiss dots and flowery embossing folders for the background. For the side panel I used an old Penny Black Love sentiment stamp and a pearl paint dabber to stamp the text. It doesn’t show in the photo but it is lovely and shimmery irl. I finished with a heart swirl die and some punched daisies with pearl centres. I added a white satin ribbon, a pearl ribbon slider and a few Card Candi’s.

Hi all :-) the sun is shining and its lovely and warm ,,, not too hot ,, just perfect !! I hope it is as nice where you are :-)

I have used this very cute Bella and Butterfly image and followed the fab sketch on the Less Is More Challenge :-)

I coloured with copics and added star dust stickles, used some core-dinations for the mat and a Hero Arts sentiment ,, Bobs ya Uncle ,,, :-)
