Papertake Weekly Challenge ,,,, In the Garden :-)

We had loads of fabulous entries to Dawny's sketch but now it is time for a new challenge over on the Papertake Weekly Challenge :-) This week the theme is :

IN THE GARDEN :-)

so loads of possibilities there !! ,, birds, trees, BBQ's, ,,,,

I am sure many of you have been mowing the lawns and weeding the flower beds in the last couple of weeks so your heads must be full of inspiration :-)

I made my card following Dawny's fab sketch on the Lili of the Valley Challenge :-)



I used this gorgeous Little Girls Tea Time stamp from LOTV,, cute eh ! :-) I coloured the image with copics and added Glossy accents to the teapot, cups and saucers. I used some teracotta coredinations that I embossed with a Tim Holtz burlap folder,, I thought it looked like tiles ! The flowery paper is from the Basic Grey Green at heart paper pack. I made the sky using a Hero Arts cloud stamp, stamped several times, masked then sprayed with copic ink using a copic air brush. The flower is from Hobbycraft and it does actually match the card perfectly IRL ,, seems the wrong colour on the piccy. The flowery border is a sticker that came with the paper pack ( I bought the 12x12 collection pack) I used a Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, a charm and a few gems !! The sentiment is also from a LOTV sentiment set.

Wild Rose Studio DT card :-)

I made this card following Helen's fab sketch on the Just Cute Bears Challenge :-)



I used my lovely Milton with Flowers image from the Wild Rose Studio :-) I coloured him with Prisma pencils and blended with spirit, I love the furry effect you can get with the pencils :-) I coloured the flowers with copics and paper pieced the paper on the bouquet using a bit of a paper bag :-) I added star dust stickles everywhere :-)
The papers are designed by Dulcie too at the Wild Rose Studio,,, these are from the Floral paper stack. The sentiment is from the WRS too I used my new EK Success border punch and a Nellie Snellen die cut for the sentiment :-) I added a couple of heart shaped buttons, some tulle ribbon a flower and some gems to finish.

Totally Papercrafts Pearls and Swirls Challenge

Oohh wow ,, we had loads of entries last week ,,, everyone likes 'Girlie' Cards :-)

For my card I followed the fab sketch on the Create4Fun Challenge The image is called 'All Dressed Up' ,, isn't she cute !! :-) I coloured her with copics and paper pieced her shawl, shoes, head band and flower ,, just adding some extra colour for shading. I popped the shawl and flower up a little too with silicone glue for a bit of dimension. I wanted to use black pearls ,, but didn t have any black liquid pearls ,,, so ,,, I squeezed some pearl liquid pearls out ,, then mixed in some copic black alcohol ink ,, and it worked OK !! :-) ,, my pearls are the mishaped freshwater type !!! lol :-) The paper is from Craft Creations and I used pearlescent stardream card and plain black card too. The fancy edge was punched with a Martha Stewart punch. The pearls are from Kaiser Craft and the rose is Prima, sprayed with black copic ink using my copic air brush ,, fab gadget that is !! :-) The pin is a lovely Maya road one that I won on Martine's Simon Says Stamp sponsored candy :-)

Sending Donkey Smiles :-)

I made a card for Michelle a few days ago and thought it would be nice to make her a little photo album too :-)

There is a lovely appeal on the Spoonful of Sugar Challenge asking us to send Donkey Smiles to Michelle :-) ,,,



I used the lovely Donkey image by Tina Wenke for Stampavie created especially for Michelle's appeal. You can download the image and donate to her fund in the Stampavie DT blog.
I coloured the image with Prisma pencils and copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky Distress ink.The papers are Basic Grey Granola papers which I think go really well with this cute donkey :-)

The flower is a selection from my drawer, sprayed with pearl glimmer mist and stickled with my fave star dust stickles :-) The 'My Little Donkey's' was stamped using a Hero Arts Mixed Letters set with Rich Cocoa memento ink ,, this was then inked with the stormy sky distress ink too :-) The ribbons were in my drawer and the twine is American Tag hemp twine :-) I looked EVERYWHERE for some of this and completely missed it in the Simon Says Stamp Store ,, they have LOADS of it is all colours !! I need new glasses !! :-)



There are 12 blank pages inside for Michelle to stick her photo's in :-) I thought she might like to take a few photo's of her beloved Donkeys when she has to go in to hospital ??
I am sending this album and this card on Behalf of the Simon Says Stamp company. i hope Michelle likes them !

Simon Says Photo Inspiration Challenge :-)

Thanks to everyone for entering the Simon Says Stamp Check it Out Challenge :-) We had loads of fabulous entries ! :-)

This week we thought that seeing as we have all been basking in sunshine it was time for a yummy cocktail ,,, non alcoholic of course !! :-)

Now ,, doesn't that look cool and refreshing ,,, this is known in my home as a Blue Lagoon ,, named after a gorgeous bay on the Maltese sister island of Comino and the sea really is that colour !

1 tot Blue Curacau
1 tot Vodka
1 tot Gin
1 tot Cointreau

mix with ice and top up with bitter lemon :-) ,,,, OK ,, so it does have a little alcohol in it !! :-)

Cards for Bella Hop week 3

It is now week 3 of a 4 week series of hops to make cards for Bella that have been organised by Erin and Denise :-) We are hoping that she is swamped in an avalanche of cards :-)

As many of you will know, Bella had a very nasty virus which resulted in the loss of all her limbs. As you can imagine this is a very traumatic time for her and her family so we are hoping that by sending cards to her she will know that the whole world is thinking of her and sending lots of love her way :-) You can read her story on Bella tucker.org and any donations will be gratefully received too ,, Bella is going to need alot of rehabilitation her home will need alterations too,,, the bills will be HIGH !!! You could also buy a beautiful bracelet that has been designed especially for this fundraising appeal :-) You should go to see it it is stunning !! :-)

I made this card for Bella (my 3rd one) following the fab sketch on the Creative Inspiration Challenge The image is a Penny Johnson for Stampavie stamp called Bird and Bear
from Simon Says Stamp :-) Isn't this cute !! I hope Bella likes it ! :-) I coloured the image with Prisma pencils and copics. The papers are BG Green at Heart and the white clouds and kite are Hero Arts stamps ,, these were masked and the sky was sprayed with copics using a copics air brush system ,,, love it !! :-) The 'hi' is also a Hero Arts stamp ,, the ribbon was in my drawer and the twine was pulled out of a weaved mesh ribbon :-) ,,, there is green twine there too barely visible ! I finished with a few Robins Nest Dew Drops too

Time for a new Challenge over on the Papertake Weekly Challenge :-) ,,, the weeks are flying past aren't they !! here we are in the middle of summer already !! :-)

This week dawny has made us another fantastic sketch for us to use :-) Nice and easy ,, just how I like em :-)

I have fallen in love with 'Wee's' ,, all the WOJ images are gorgeous ,, but I must admit I especially LOVE these,,, soo cute !! :-) I bought 2 recently ,, this Wee with Broken Leg and another one which I will show you another time :-)

I coloured the image with Distress Inks ,,, for a change !! my copics are having a rest lol :-) I stamped the image with stazon onto watercolour paper and then masked it. I then inked a Hero Arts Dandelion Frame using tea dye distress ink too. The papers are from the Basic Grey Indian Summer pad and these were a RAK from a lovely blog buddy ,, she knows who she is and thanks hun xx
I made the flower using my lovely Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Die, I used watercolour card to cut them out then coloured them with distress ink too ,,, sprayed with glimmer mist and stickled with my fave star dust :-) I find that if you use the watercolour paper to make these flowers , they don't tear so easily !! I ruined loads using ordinary card, especially the narrow petal shaped die ! ,,, little tip for you there lol :-) I also used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and a few Robins Nest dew drops ,,, the ribbon was in my drawer :-)
I used a Martha stewart border punch and SU punches for the sentiment ,,, the sentiment is a WOJ too and came with the stamp !! perfect !! :-)

 Wishin' Well

As America's birthday is on the 4th July ,,, I thought I would be dead original and go for a stars and stripes theme !! ( tongue firmly in cheek here lol )



I used my cute little Hyper Mouse Muzzy for this card. The ball is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusives beach set :-) The papers were a free download from Freebies-stampTV Lucky find !! :-)The star was cut out on my cricut using the george cartridge. I used a martha Stewart border punch and I embossed a panel of white with the swiss dots folder, the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp exclusives set too ,, I used a Spellbinders ribbon tag die too.

Now ,,, I got a bit mixed up with my weeks !! For the last challenge we were sponsored by Meljen ,,, and I used a HM stamp, tho I did make a Meljen card too ,,, and this week we are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and I used Meljen images !! oops !! :-) I didn't have time to make 2 cards for this week !




Anyway ,, I am really happy with how this card turned out :-) The scuba bear image is very cute and I also used an ocean floor backround stamp, both from Meljen :-) These images are both new and given to me by Meljen,,, thanks xx
I coloured the image with copics and chalked the background with pearlescent chalks. the paper is from Craft Creations and I also used whitewash blue coredinations. I used a Martha Stewart icicle punch ,, I thought it could pass for seaweed ! and the fish charm and ribbon were in my drawer :-) The sentiment is a large background Inkadinkado one which is rarely used and neglected,, I just used a little bit of it The shells were in my bathroom and came in handy to set the scene !! :-)

A Card for Michelle O :-)

I think everyone has heard about Michelle's nasty accident which happened while tending to her much loved donkeys.You can read about it on her blog Tina Wenke has designed a lovely 'Michelle's Donkey' digi image for us to download from the Stampavie DT blog and make a donation towards Michelle's fund :-)



I follwed Sem's fab sketch on the Sketch Saturday Challenge to make this card ,, nice and easy, thanks Sem :-)
I used a combination of Prima pencils and copics to colour the image.
