Before moving on to the challenge we are sad to say that our lovely and super talented teamie, Caryn, has stepped down from the team. We are all very sorry to see her go but would like to take this opportunity to THANK YOU Caryn, not only for your fabulous creations over the past few years, but also for your team spirit and willingness to always be so helpful.

SPLATTER IT

I used Cracked Pistachio and Broken China Distress Oxide Inks. As I am sure you all know by now these inks are AWESOME when spritzed and splattered with water! They are definitely a game changing new product for all of us crafters don't you think!! I can't wait for my 2nd set to arrive with all of the new colours!!

I used a Stitched Rectangle Die to cut a couple of pieces of Ranger Watercolor Paper and used a new Circle Doodles Embossing Plate to add the design. I then blended the oxide inks and splattered with water and Tumbled Glass Distress Spray.

I thought the background was perfect for a watery theme so I added a few Fingerprint Doodles ;-)

and I finished the inside

Tag You're It

Make a tag or add a tag to your creation!

This week we are showcasing Ranger Products this week. You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

I used Watercolor Paper, White Gesso, a selection of Distress Inks Pads and Set 1 Distress Crayons to make a bright spring tag.

I am going to tie this onto a lovely little shrub to give to my Dad for his garden when I get there next week!! I can't wait to see my family and friends, quite a lot has been happening lately and it will be so nice to see them all :-)

I started by painting gesso onto the watercolor paper tag base, I left definite brush strokes in there to give it some texture. Once dry I scribbled Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron crayons over the top and then blended them with a little water and my fingers.

I stamped the wildflowers in Archival Black and then used a Bubble Stencil and White Embossing paste over the top to add more texture and interest.
