New Home Card

Hi all :-) 

A friend asked me to make a card for her son who is in the process of renovating his new home and this is what I made.

I tried to make this look a bit like his new home (photo below) including the neighbourhood cat that brings gifts of dead rats :-| The house is situated in a rural area surrounded by fields so there is lots of hunting to be done ,,, poor mice and rats!!

I masked the sky area and then blended Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink over the wall area. While the mask was still in place I used gathered Twigs Ink to stamp the bricks using a Simon Says Stamp Grid Cling Stamp. I then masked the wall and used Tumbled Glass Ink for the sky and added some Lavinia Stamps Birds.

For the rubble wall I used a Tim Holtz Stone Layering Stencil, Vintage Photo and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks. 

I used a LDRS Window Die and popped in some navy card stock and acetate. I added an 'All Seasons Tree' a little Impression Obsession Mini Cat and the rat was from an old Martha Stewart Border Punch.
