Simon Says: Party Time!

Hi all! I am a week late posting on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge but thats OK, this theme still has another week to run so I thought I would jump in today with a reminder for you all to not forget to join in! ;-)

This is Ann's last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for your fabulous creations over the past few weeks! It really has been such a pleasure to have you along with us and we would like to wish you a Happy New Year! :-)

For todays card I used a gorgeous new 'Diecember Release' Shimmer Burst Background Die, I think it looks like a firework so thats the direction I went for this Happy New Year card! ;-) 

I blended some Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink over some Watercolor Paper and then spritzed with water and splattered with Black Marble amd White Linen Inks. When it was dry I die cut the design and popped some acetate onto the reverse side and made the shaker.

I added some washi tape and used a 'Celebrate' from a Simon's Exclusive Words On A Line Die Set  which was also in the Diecember Release.

and I finished the inside by using the die to create a stencil

and a special card deserves a special envelope so I made one of those too ;-)

for the stamp and 'hugs encloused' I used a Sizzix Postage Stamp and Die Set
