Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit Cards

I am here with a couple of CAS one layer cards made using products in the Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit

I really love the Butterflies Stencil in this set and used the Squeezed Lemonade Oxide Ink and the new Tim Holtz Blending Brush to apply some colour, I also used a little Worn Lipstick Oxide Ink  to add a little extra shading.

For this first one I embossed using a Stitched Rectangle Die to create a little bit of interest around the edge. I then made a mask out of scratch paper, using the same die, and randomly stamped some text in grey ink. I then used the stencil to add colour before applying White Embossing Powder and Sprinkling with Glitter

I used the same techniques with this 2nd one I made but instead of adding text I added a few splatters of black and used a black pen to add a few faux stitches

and this is the kit in all its splendour ;-)
I am so sorry that this kit has sold out already. Congratulations if you did manage to grab one, they really did sell like hot cakes!!

I love both of these cards - the script background in the first one is great and the outline surrounding the butterflies draws them together in the second. Neat interpretation of the sketch. Thanks for joining us at Atlantic Hearts :)

Two beautiful cards with this gorgeous butterflies stencil ! Love the elegance of the first one with the script background and the soft yellow. Love the CAS look of the second one and the faux stitching. Thanks for sharing and for playing along at Less is More.

A super stunning and elegant twofer using stencilling. Subtle and pretty colours - so springlike, it's a pity the weather isn't yet! Gorgeous sparkle and love the faux stitching effect and the kraft card base for a change. Thanks for joining us at Less is More
