Simon Says: Not A Card on the Monday Challenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Not A Card

This is an easy one, you could make something simple like a tag or bookmark, or be more adventurous and decorate a journal page or make a Halloween or Christmas decoration. Whatever you decide to make we will be looking forward to seeing your creation!

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

Please pop by and see what our fabulous guest designer, Wanda, and the DT have made!! Awesome Sauce!!

I couldn't decide what to make so I made a couple of things ;-)

Fist I made this  Halloween Framed Panel using a Haunted House Stamp Set.

I wanted the house to be very dark but the oxide inks do tend to cover any existing stamping so to get over this I used a MISTI Tool and stamped with Archival Black, I also created a mask to cover it while I was blending and splattering the background.
I then used Distress Inks to color and when it was all very dry (helped along by using an iron) I popped the panel back into the MISTI and heat embossed the haunted house.

You can see the embossing more clearly on this artsy angle ;-)

I love this witch, isn't she cute going out for her night flight with her little kitty, super adorable. This would be me if I was a witch ;-)

I then decided to make a little spooky treat bag using a lawn Fawn Goodie Bag Die, some Tim Holtz Paper and a few of  Tim Holtz Halloween Dies.

I just need to get some spooky candy to pop inside.

I am really loving' Rusting Powder!! it looks awesome on the gates don't you think!! :-)

Thanks for looking!

So now it's YOUR turn to get creating and make something a little bit different!! We do like the Monday Challenge to encourage the more 'artsy' side of you so get out your paint, glues and whatnots and have fun!

Do you use Instagram ?  If so please add  #sssmchallenge so we can see your entries there too

Two fabulous projects Lols! I do love the witch in the first one, she is definitely cute-ish with her lovely cat and the house looks brilliant with the embossing.

Your Halloween bag is going to come in very handy - the rusting powder makes such a huge different to the gate and fence. The cat and ghost look like they are enjoying themselves! Hugs, Anne xx

Wow, Lols! Not just one stunner, but TWO this week! I love how you do Halloween! In the witch scene, I adore the way you blended the background colors to give it such a lovely nighttime feeling. And the heat-embossing really brought it to life! And the fence on the second project is nothing short of brilliant!
