Simon Says: Red White and/or Blue

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Tic tac Toe Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is

RED WHITE AND/OR BLUE

you can choose one, two or all three colors, it is your choice!

This week we are showcasing Indigoblu and  the Design Team are all using their products. CLICK HERE to see the whole range!

The lovely Barbara Schiassi made this lovely graphic for us to use

We are welcoming the lovely Aida Haron  into the Designer Spotlight this month, if you haven't visited her blog you are in for a real treat! :-)

I made a couple of cards for this challenge

First up is a  4th of July card using an Indogoblu Tasty Textures Background Stamp

One of these days I will go to the US during the 4th of July celebrations, I am sure the atmosphere during the parades would be amazing!

I made this card to wish all of my friends on the other side of the pond a
Very Happy 4th of July

I used some Corrugated Card for the base and then splattered some Watercolor Paper with London Blue and White Linen Inks. I stamped the stripes with Hero Arts Red Royal ink and then coloured the awesome new Simon Says Stamp Stacked Stars Die Cut with Faded Jeans Paint and London Blue ink before sprinkling with Blue Glitter. I die cut a Star using Burlap and then aded a few splurges of Gesso before adhering the Small Talk Stickers to finish

Next up is a card I made using a super cute Indigoblu Dukes Gang Cling Stamp Set!! SO CUTE!!

I used the same Tasty Textures Stamp to add a few pebbles to the ground using Pumice Stone Distress Ink, I then used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the sky and used Archival Sky Blue to stamp some texture over the top using another of the stamps in the
Tasty Textures  set. I then added more interest using a Bubble Stencil and White Embossing Paste.

I paper pieced the pupsters using papers from a Tim Holtz Dapper Paper Pack and added a 'trellis' using a gorgeous new Carabelle Studio Textures Die  and added some Wildflowers to complete the scene.

I love them so much I had to include them all so popped the rest of them on the inside, well, we needed the whole gang eh!! ;-)

So now it's YOUR turn, Happy Crafting

Love the corrugated cardboard and the great texture it gives to your project. I love the burlap as well, always and everywhere. Those rough materials are perfectly smoothen by the beautiful and delicate stars die. Great project! I love it. Huuugs, Marzena

What a treat to see so many uses of IndigoBlu! You nailed every single one, by the way! I especially like your red, white and blue card just because I could not get that combo to work to save my life! It kept looking like a crime scene with the red gone awry or was just a bunch of boring blue. I have nothing but absolute respect for those who made this combo work and you have done that in spades! Well done!

Hello Lorraine,
I like what you've done with your red, white and blue cards. I see the complexity and all the work you put into both of them with your special skill and knowledge.

As long as I have been participating in the challenges, I still have trouble finding the Monday Challenge winners. I always wait until Friday or Saturday to look for the winner, then I have to search and search and many times not find it. I would LOVE it if the challenge had a CLICK HERE link on it under the New Challenge title, just as the Wednesday Challenge has, even if the cue is not put on the site until the end of the week. It makes it so much easier to find the winner.
Thanks for heading up the challenges. I love them.
Tricia
