Simon Says Monday Challenge: Just A Pinch

newchallenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week the challenge is

Just A Pinch

This week we are adding just a pinch of something perfect to give our projects a lovely finishing touch. Whether it is a pinch of glitter or powder, a splatter of ink or glimmer. You could even use the pinch of salt technique to create a beautiful background, the choices are endless! We will be looking forward to seeing what delights you cook up this week!

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

I took this challenge with a pinch of salt ;-)

and created a background using the salt technique!

I inked a piece of Watercolor Paper quite generously with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and sprinkled with sea salt. I then spritzed with water and waited for the magic to happen! I just left it to dry naturally and then brushed the salt off and it had made a lovely bokeh effect design. I then smothered the whole piece with Micro Glaze to seal the ink before splattering with White Linen Dye Ink.

I used a Framelits Tag Die and Festive Scribbles Die to make a decorative focus, I added a pinch of glitter on the tree and star, well you have to have a bit of sparkle at Christmas don't you!
I used Evergreen Bough, Iced Spruce and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks to color the ribbon.

So now it's YOUR turn, Happy Crafting
