It's the 14th of the month and that means it's time for the Grand Reveal of the latest and most fabulous Simon Says Stamp September 'It's a Celebration' Card Kit!
I know I always say it, but it is always true, I LOVE this kit! the colours and papers are fabulous the stamp set is FAB! and we also get a little cute stencil, gesso and a pallet knife! A box FULL of crafty goodness! ;-)
As you all know I do love to make shaker cards, I think they're a little bit extra special, and the coloured, printed acetate cards in the kit are gorgeous! It was difficult to choose which one to use first, but as my fave colour is aqua I went with that :-)
I stamped some bow shapes inside the shaker to match the printed ones on the acetate before filling with sequins and diamond dust. Diamond Dust is a MUST in shakers, it has a texture and weight similar to sugar and creates a perfect shaker sound.
I used a MISTI Tool to stamp the colours of the balloons, I needed to ink a couple of times to get a deep coverage and it makes repeat stamping a doddle ;-)
