Simon Says ,,,,,, Something New ! :-)

wed-newchallenge-header

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge !!

HAPPY NEW YEAR !! Wishing you all the very best for 2014 !!

Colourful 2014 in fiery sparklers

Thank you for joining us for the  Bling It on Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too :-)

This week the challenge is

SOMETHING NEW ,,,

New Year, New Job, New Baby, New Crafty Stash, New Home, Wedding ( new life) Retirement ( new life) ,, etc ,,,,

We are showcasing My Favorite Things Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used :-)

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!
50dollar_voucher_600px
I made a card for my son, Sean, who has just got a NEW JOB and will be starting next week !! Woo Hoo !! He recently moved to the UK and has been looking for a job since September,,, what a relief !! PHEW !! :-) He is a Scientist and has a quality control post in a company which manufactures ingredients for drug and food manufacturers,,, all very technical and just what he wanted :-) We are so very proud of him :-)

This is him with his sister Amy at a recent family wedding party :-)  Aww,, aren't they gorgeous :-)

I used Stacking Stars and Tag You're It Dies

Sean's favourite colour is blue so I kept it mostly Navy and I love the shaker cards I have been seeing everywhere using vellum envelopes and whatnot, so I decided to make a tag shaker. I used a Simon's Exclusive Falling Stars Stencil to sponge a design on a white die cut tag then stitched a vellum tag all around the edges. I then made a small slit behind the sentiment banner and dropped in a few die cut stars and sequins, I really LOVE how this has turned out and I hope Sean does too :-)

Thanks for looking and I would like to wish you all the very best of luck for 2014 :-) I have got off to a delicate start so I will be heading off back to bed for a siesta shortly ,,, hehe :-)

There are fabulous Give Aways and inspiration from fabulous designers on a daily basis over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog ,,,if you haven't subscribed by email you may want to so you don't miss out :-)

I really love your card! The color, the chevron, the vellum shaker tag, all very cool! And congratulations to your son! How impressive that he moved to the UK following his dream (apparently?) and stuck with it to see success! I was in England in July for 12 days and adored it! would live there in a heartbeat---best of luck to him!
