Simon Says Let's Have a Laugh

wed-newchallenge-header

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This is a long post so you may need to grab yourself a coffee :-)

This week the challenge is

LET'S HAVE A LAUGH

Create something funny or humorous or a play on words. We need a bit of cheering up on these cold winter days

We are showcasing Paper Smooches Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.  I LOVE the subtle humor in so many of the Paper Smooches designs!  I just get a KICK out of punny, make ya' smile kind of fun!

The lovely Kim Hughes, owner of Paper Smooches was so very generous and gave all the DT a choice of stamps or dies to use this week ! THANKS KIM XXXX :-)

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!  Woot!  Woot!

I made 2 cards today using   A Little Lovin stamp set, there are dies to go with this set, but silly me forgot to order them in time to use for this challenge so I had to use my trusty scissors , I have to say I MUCH prefer to use coordinating dies ! :-)

First up is this super cute kangaroo.

I thought he needed a girlfriend, so I stamped the image onto the back of a background stamp, then stamped the image onto the white card. It didn't leave a perfect impression but good enough to use and I went over all the lines using a pen. I love how this turned out :-) I used several of Simon's Exclusive products on this too, plus my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the cactus, just to add that after sponging the falling hearts I used a copic air brush to spray the blue sky.

Aww, don't they make a cute couple :-)

Next up is this gorgeous Prince disguised as a frog :-)

I think many of us kissed a few frogs before we found our Prince eh !! haha

For this one I used the Curved Edge die to make a mask and then sponged Simon's khaki ink over the white card and then stamped the dotty design using the same ink.
I coloured the frog with green and brown Copics and then overcoloured with Prismacolor Pencils, I love the mottled look you get when using the brush to stipple the colour. I stamped his lips and then glittered them up using a Wink Of Stella Glitter Pen. It doesn't show up so well in the photo, but his lips are luscious and ready for kissing :-)

The papers and ticket I used on this are from the January Card Kit :-)

I also made a Baby Girl Shaker Card and Gift Card using this same set. CLICK HERE if you would like to see those too :-)

So now it's YOUR turn ! Happy Crafting !!

There are fabulous Give Aways and inspiration from fabulous designers on a daily basis over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog ,,,if you haven't subscribed by email you may want to so you don't miss out :-)

Adorable cards, Lols!! I LOVE the reverse stamping on the first one. They do make the perfect couple! Loving how you coloured the frog and made the mottled hill, too. Great use of that falling hearts stencil on both cards!
