Simon Says Stamp Valentine's 2014 Blog Hop !! :-)

Hi all and welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Valentine hop showcasing all the new release Valentines 2014 products.
I was thrilled to be asked to join in with this hop and I can't wait to hop along too and see what everyone made using these gorgeous new goodies ! ,,, soo exciting !!  :-)

If you arrived here from the lovely Lucy Abrams blog then you are going in the right direction, if not you may need to start from the beginning on the Simon Says Stamp blog

For my first card I used a Swirl Heart Die, the Large Love You Dies, a Falling Hearts Stencil.
I love the quality of Simon's new cardstock too and used  Schoolhouse Red and  Black card from the Rainbow Pack.

I used the stencil as a mask and smooched some silver embossing paste over the top, then left to one side to dry while I die cut the heart.
I smothered the heart with glue and then sprinkled Red Glitter Ritz all over the top. It reminds me of Dorothy's ruby red slippers in the Wizard of Oz ,,, so fab and sparkly.
I then used the black card and die cut another heart to adhere over the top.
I cut the 'Large Love You' die out of red and black card and adhered slightly offset to create a 3D effect.
I love the red/white /black combination of colours, very striking I think :-)
*************************

For my 2nd card I used the negative of a Large Love You Die and Khaki and Schoolhouse Red card from the Rainbow pack.

I die cut the words and adhered acetate behind the Khaki panel before popping the die cuts back into the card so that I could glue the little bits in perfectly. I glued some thin strips of the Schoolhouse Red along the edges and then adhered some fab Kelly Purkey Chevron Washi Tape to the card blank, completely covering the area that would be visible before popping the whole panel on dimensional adhesive squares.  I finished with some enamel dots, twine and a die cut heart.

You do know the saying, a card isn't complete without a cat hair ! Well I made sure mine was well finished, can you see the little one peeping out from underneath the Khaki card ? ,,, I am nothing if not a perfectionist ,,,, haha :-)

Thanks for looking :-) This is the last blog on the hop and I hope you had a good time ! If you would like to pop over to the Simon Says Stamp Blog and leave a comment there too, letting us know what you think of the new products that would be brilliant ! :-)

The lovely team over at  Simon Says Stamp has given everyone on the hop a whopping $25 voucher to give away !  THANKS SIMON :-) XXX
Just leave me a comment and one lucky commenter will be drawn at random,, you gotta be in it to win it !!

GOOD LUCK !! :-)

Products I used on my cards.

Happy Crafting
