Simon Says,,,,,,, Paper Piecing :-)

Thank you so much to everyone who joined in with our "Make a Gift" challenge last week,, you gave me some brilliant ideas for Christmas gifts ,,, if I get around to making them !! :-)

This week our challenge is PAPER PIECING !

This is one of my fave techniques as it is brilliant for those times when you make a right mess of colouring and you can rescue the image by covering it up with paper !! :-)

For my card I followed our lovely teamie Domi's fab sketch on the Penny Black Saturday Challenge :-)



I used my new Penny Black Stamp ,,Sweet Thing :-) this is a new release and as soon as I saw her I popped her in my basket ,, isn't she CUTE :-) I coloured her with copics and paper pieced her dress and bow with paper. I also paper pieced the bun case with glittered vellum.I masked the image and sprayed the backround in pale blue with my fabby copic air brush.The papers are Magnolia these are from the Yummy Tummy set :-).
Don't you LOVE those flowers ,,, I made these using my new Nellie Snellen flower punches,,, GORGEOUS !! To make them you need a set of 5 punches, 2 large and 2 medium flowers and the stamen. the flower punches come in a set of 2 , one punches and the other embosses. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the leaves, added the compulsory Star Dust Stickles and a few Robins Nest Dew Drops
the ric rak ribbon and buttons were in my drawer :-) oops almost forgot ,, I added a dollop of glossy accents on the cherry ,,, it looks real !! :-)

WOW !!! I have NEVER entered so many challenges with one card ,,, but as I have been busy these last few weeks I havent been able to make ANYTHING ,, so am catching up now :)
