Papertake weekly ,,,,,, Dawny's Sketch

My visitors have all gone home now ,,, it has been a busy summer and I have lots to catch up on ,,, am chasing my tail at the mo' :-) I will be popping around all your blogs just as soon as I can ,,, am looking forward to seeing what you have all been up to :-)

anyway ,,, time for a new challenge over on the PTW :-) Dawny has made us a fab sketch to follow and as I had to make a Wedding card for last night I had to sit down get on with it yesterday morning !!

We are sponsored this week by the lovely Katharina at Whiff of Joy so a lovely stamp will be given to one lucky entrant !! :-)

I used my Newly Weds magnolia stamp ,,, I just bought this ,,, lovely eh !! I coloured the image with copics and added touched of star dust stickles,, as is compulsory !! :-) The papers are Basic Grey Capella, Ivory Star Dream card and beige coredinations. I inked all the edges with pumice stone distress ink and made the flowers with my new Nellie Snellen floral punches ,, I have been wanting these since I went to the craft fair in Holland last year, they punch and emboss ,,, gorgeous :-) I used a Martha Stewart border punch and added a ribbon ,, a few pearls and a charm to finish :-)

The tradition here is to go to the bride or grooms house a few days before the wedding to take your gifts, we took this card with a cheque in it and had a drink and chat with the happy couple and the grooms parents ,,,, anyway ,,,I was talking to the bride and hadn't opened my card and I don't know how it came to this topic of conversation ,,, but she said she HATED ivory and was getting married in white, she thinks ivory is a dirty white ,,,, so maybe she will hate me card too !! at least I think she will like the cheque tho eh !! :-)

Challenges :

Colour Create ,,,,, lovely photo insp ,, Ivory Duck Blue plus one other colour

Basic Grey ,,,,, Pearls

don't forget to enter my fortnightly candy at the top of my blog :-)

Oooh, its a real stunner Lols (of course she'll love it!)
Your new flower dies are so pretty and I agree, stickles are compulsory when card making - I sometimes have to "step away from the glitter" or it'd be on everything! ;)
